Hello,
AC Valhalla added to the combat fun by featuring dismemberment - will Far Cry 6 have this also?
Will the disc-launcher weapon slice and dice?
Far Cry New Dawn had a weapon that fired a rotary saw blade but nothing happened to the enemies, they just fell down![]()
Same with AC Origins & Odyssey. Bg powerful swords and battle axes but the enemies stay in one piece![]()
Exactly. Without it EVERY weapon is essentially the same because they all have the same result - the enemy just falls over. Why did they have slice and dice in ACV but wont put it in FC6?Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
Why do games from other devs like Bethesda (Fallout 4 etc) not have these issues? In FC4 you can blow bits off enemies!

I don't believe we should assume any correlation between a game like AC having it and FC not, those are 2 completely separate games, using different engines, made by different teams or even studios with no real connection other than the company that produces them. I agree with you though, I hope that at some point they put in that extra level of effort to give the game a bit more... "Ooomph" I guess? haha, dunno how else to describe it, it'd just make the game better!
Yes its really needed because without it all the impressive weapons like "Legendary" weapons in AC series do absolutely nothing to enemies. Same with FC weapons. Its all just Diablo-style stat-based we need to see physical feedback.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
They are advertising this disc launcher weapon but of course it wont do anything when it hits. Or should I say STAT HITS.
I think it'd also be cool if they added physical bullet damage / wounds to enemies with the possibility to fatally wound enemies as you see in Red Dead Redemption 2. You can shoot guys in the neck or gut in that game and they stumble away, bleeding and eventually bleed out.
And if they're going to make a goofy weapon like the disc launcher, the discs should impale and stick into the enemies, that'd at least make it satisfying to use...
Every shooter would gain so much from dismembering or bodies exploding when hit by rockets or any explosives. Brute hardcore was also one of the visual incentives of Death Space.
It is life. Sure developers are so intelligent in order to design a piece of working code like a game, but so handicapped too for not adding pure gore, and all just because of fuckign PEGI
Miss quake3-like deaths so much...
While I would definitely like to see more realistic dismemberment in games like these the fact remains that some unfortunate individual will have to look at a lot of real dismemberment videos and photos for reference while they model all the different damage variations. No matter how edgy you are, that will take a toll eventually. So I kind of understand why some dev teams don't include that stuff while others do, even within a megacorporation like Ubisoft.
