Always find it weird people say lack of content but then don't try new builds, havent completed the raids, dont dz or conflict, complete the commendations, hardcore etc. There's actually a fair bit to do, the problem is the content is just a bit too repetitive and it makes it tedious. If they want to open the game up to more players to do other tasks, such as dz or legendaries etc, they need to drop the raid exclusives into those areas. As it stands i think they're happy the way it is. I for example could never be bothered to finish the 2nd raid and get those exotics as they dont interest me, however if i get really bored then i'll farm and optimise some raid builds and go do that etc. At the moment though im jusy focusing on other titles ive left alone for a fair while. Even did a pvp survival run today which was entertaining, still easily the best mode they've made so far.
The game has seen better days. Just spent the last week finishing up 3 mules. MM was dead. Calling for back-up on occasion was helpful. Funniest part is these players was gone soon as we completed a mission. They didn't even stick around for the Endorsement.
Locked loot was a game breaker for some players. If only Massive would have listened and provided options. That's their choice.
One thing a game like this needs and requires, endless content. There is a lot going on, but they need options for their players. The game needs to keep growing.
Yet considering, that Massive did the same thing here that they did with TD. They had no intention of keeping the game alive. Their plan was to let it live or die on it's own.
Create rifts like Diablo (all factions) the more you push the better the rewards...i.e.....
- Higher rolled gear
- Higher quantity of parts needed for optimization
- Rare apparel
- Rare exotics not seen in normal gameplay
- Rare named items not seen in normal gameplay
- New weapons not seen in normal gameplay
- New weapon mods not seen in normal gameplay
Basically the further you get the more chance for the above to drop.
Fun Fun Fun.....preferably in open world not inside something like the summit.....Oh and checkpoints so you can carry on where you left off so you can carry on at a later date without losing progress.
I've been kicked a few times I was told to take my skills and shove them - one player told me I was cheating by using fire grenades and kicked me , usually in my experience it an all shooter team who use no skills - they won't even throw a grenade. You get kicked for interfering in players playing styles never take it personally just move on to the next battle its just a game. I have seen it happen in groups where some felt another was not playing well I refuse to eject them simply because I was in the same position once it takes time to get comfortable you have to give them that just play a little more careful.
Sounds a little too WSP to me. That didn't quite work. I enjoyed it, but once players learned about farming it. They didn't care about actually trying to see how far they could go.Originally Posted by Riflemania Go to original post
I have seen this myself. I don't blame groups that have a certain playstyle they wish to maintain. Then again, I have witnessed some that have been unforgiven cause they don't like another's build. I also understand that it's not easy to not take personal, when others make it personal. Some players are just toxic to others and don't show respect. It's just a matter of being respectful and some just get too into the Division of The Division.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
I struggled like hell to get into the first raid as I was a mainlining skill builder when it first released. A metric tonne of BS about dps and a point blank refusal to allow for anything else and I was simply made unwelcome. I eventually persuaded a group to let me along for the ride -- I sold it to them as carrying me, and I think that bumped their egos a bit. Naturally coming second in DPS and Kills at every stage put them back in their weird little boxes and I've had no trouble since. Moreover, you can't do a speed run without skills and every single successful raid team has multiple skill builds.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
A lot of people talk a lot of crap about this game and I guess you just have to roll with the punches some times.
There is the notion in the game that is all about critical hit and damage - if you build your player with high stats in those categories you score high in those categories - but other players can score just as high in damage kills and head shots no to mention other categories - I only have whats on my watch and I still beat players in crit especially when its borrowed. Thats how you get locked into shooter only game they are only focusing on the crit damage part of the game. I have heard players say here and in the game crit damage is all that counts not true at all.
I tend to agree on PVP being infested by cheaters.
Tried east DZ last night with a pal, and there was this guy camping at the safe house... one shot kills. Well, actually two shots, one to take my shield out, one for my agent, while having a fixer drone over my head.
Moved to west DZ and had a good time.
This morning I searched top players showing their DZ builds, and in those videos I did no see anything close to what we experienced. Perhaps that guy was that good, but I have my doubts.
The solution is to move to other DZs if you run in what looks like cheating.
Yep, and that attitude toward how we create our DPS has been to the detriment of the game -- in my opinion. More often than not the same player that criticises a build has never actually ran that build themselves and are all-too-often speaking from a position devoid of in-game experience. All-too-often a player has simply cut and paste a build off of the net (nothing inherently wrong with doing that) because it's popular and because they see players running that build have success with it. I can understand them to an extent: they have a solid build why do anything else, but why not? Why not expand your playstyles and skill levels by using as many of the tools as the game affords us. Actually explore the game-play via the build-play, but some times you might just as well beat your head against a wall instead of trying to convince people that you can do better than just CHC/CHD builds.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
