IH Boss 1: We have a healer, pistol DPS and 6 DPS. Healer overcharges as shield guys come out, and then the pistol player foams one and shoots him in the head with the regulus, which blows up all 3. Everyone then DPS’s boss. It’s either done in 60 seconds or we screw something up and just wipe and start the boss again. Alternative is 7 damage skill builds and a healer to over charge and give the future buff. Oxidize shield guys and boss during the overcharge phase.
Probably the main reason is you take more damage and need to do more damage in normal mode than in discovery mode. What that means is you can probably survive the drones on razorback in discovery mode but you will struggle in normal mode. You could kill razorback in discovery mode with non DPS or less than optimal DPS builds but you will struggle in normal mode.
Newbies are fine. They just run a raid ready DPS build all the way through. You just need a few that have and can use the necessary specialty builds along the way.
If you are new, as DevKev posted is "The remaining 5 players only need to meet a basic raid ready build, all red DPS with at least 50 chc and 150 chd preferably running demolitionist."Originally Posted by L3AND80 Go to original post
Once you have done it a couple of times, you can do other roles or builds.
Let me explain one more time, as it seems I haven't been very clear yet:Originally Posted by MSG.Lero Go to original post
We are talking about players NOT used to Normal raids, with Discovery raid players, who communicate little, almost always through chat and very rarely through the mic (remembering that there may be people on the team who do not understand the language of those who are speaking, after all on Discovery anyone can join the "team" of 8 solo players) and many don't seem to read the chat either or maybe they don't understand the English language, some of them barely know how to position themselves in the raids area to the point of getting 3/4 of the team covering 30% of the total area, some don't even do the most basic cleaning function (which is killing the NPCs), these are the guys I'm talking about and they're the ones I thought about when I created this post, it wasn't the badass clans, level Very high SHD, which can do well with any build and already has the right compositions for any situation, for them, this topic doesn't matter, as they usually play in clans that already have experienced players and who know what to do, what not it's the case of most Discovery players.
This thread is already a very good idea, no doubt about that.
But discovery raid players need knowledge or guidance above all. It can already be seen in the discovery raid at Morozova that there are simply too many players without any idea what is happening here. And even if you've written or said 10 times in chat that they shouldn't shoot Morozova too early, there's always, really always some jerk who probably even feels great because he alone does so much damage on the boss.
Dark Hours 8 DPS for the first boss we use one healer on second boss and pile into the room and healer is opposite side at start once plane lifts up healer runs over and burn down the bosses, 3rd fight all with bullet king and pull lucy and buddy down towards security gate and one calls out who to shot and switch target, last fight good idea with one hardwired so you can EMP the drones and place DPS according to who hits the hardest so they are with the hardwired one since you are one dps down easy peasy.fight.
Iron horse first boss all in red, second boss1 tank with fire resist and 2 healers 5 dps, 3rd boss 1 tank with foam resist or ensnare resist mods 1 healer 6 dps and 4th boss same deal 1 tank 1 healer rest DPS some people can go hunters fury to cover the forward doors either side.
I would like to say, good stuff everyone. As an observation, there has just been some slight differences from the input from this small group of Raiders. Being a player who has done DH almost always with Randoms. Not all Raiders will be civil and insure their teams are ready for the challenges. Not everyone is equipped to be good Leaders, Mentors, or Educators, even though they may know a lot about the Raids.
So this thread will at least give players the heads up for what is expected of them.
