Dark Souls mechanic for villain DLCs?

    So...

"Each episode challenges you to survive as long as possible; the longer you stay alive, the more perks and weapons you’ll unlock. Dying means starting over from scratch, but the knowledge and skills you’ve developed will help you push further into each villain’s heart of darkness."

    https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2021/06/...6-season-pass/

    Die rinse repeat?

They did the same thing with the DLC for FAR CRY 4

    ESCAPE FROM DURGESH

YOU die you lose your progress .just not your weapons and skills you have earned ..so it was a grind mode

had hoped for a better season pass for far cry 6 .. more like they did with other ubi franchises like AC Valhalla and heck even going as far back as AC ORIGINS

where they added missions to the SP game ..that matched the SP game ..with new area's as well as things to do .. but alas .. looks like they took the cheap way out with the far cry 6 season pass ..and wowwee i get another free copy of FAR CRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON to go with my other 2 copies i never enjoyed that much

*Console versions will include Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon — Classic Edition, while PC versions will include Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

    i mean am i wrong ?

    with the ultimate edition

    The Ultimate Pack includes:
    • The Jungle Expedition Pack
    • The Croc Hunter Pack
    • The Vice Pack

jungle hunter = you yes taking down jungle bases making drugs ..make it 4 to 5 missions taking up 3 hours

    CROC hunter

find the croc and the team and base that made that croc go nutz , and is eating villagers due to drugs being made on the island

again maybe 3 to 4 levels and missions

    vice missions
take down all the houses that sell the drugs for the regime .. including their base ..

that should be the DLC .. but nooo they made the DLC look weak

just my take on it ..and yes i will still Order the ultimate edition of the game .. just wish they made better decisions on this title .. they had so many story lines they could have followed and taken with DLC

that would fit the title and the game

locks like they took the easy way out and yep ..Yara may be a big map .. but the DLC for it sucks

not SQUEEE VAS IS BACK or

    SQUEE PAGAN IS BACK

    SQUEE THE FATHER is back

who cares ..? in a FAR CRY game just gimme stuff to blow the F*ck up

The jungle expedition, croc hunter and vice packs are just outfit / skin packs.

Yes, the "Ultimate Edition" is typically the 'who wants to spend as much money as possible' edition.

    That's fine, it's a choice

(I do actually like the 'Miami Vice' look, but that might be an age thing. )

yea yea yea i knew that man .. i was just saying what i would have liked to see for DLC ..i mean playing as VASS , pagan , and the father may be ok

gotta wait and see i guess i just think it will be short for each DLC .. and kinda a shame as in the other UBI games like ac origins the DLC actually fit and added to the game on the same game map .. just expanded it ..and i did enjoy that

not separate lil games and just some skins and a few weapons

Oh I see, I thought you were saying thats what you thought those things were I was like, eesh, check your expectations cause you're really gonna be let down, haha. I don't mind that the DLC is not limited to new adventures in the same location, I think if they kinda want to experiment with the various forms of fan feedback the DLC is the best place to do it as it's a much lower barrier of entry and the stakes of poor execution on the ideas are much lower.

My criticism of the DLC is just that I'm not really digging the aesthetic and premise these DLCs look to be pursuing with them all appearing to be coming from the perspective of some sort of mental breakdown of each of the villains rather than from just seeing it from their side of things.. Not digging all the hallucinatory "this is what they saw in their mind" vibes they're going for. Still on the fence as to whether I'll get an edition that comes with the season pass or not. TBH the blood dragon remaster is the most appealing part right now, haha.

umm you do understand the remaster of Blood dragon will only be for new consoles ? and it will be SP only

to make it look better .

as the old console version looked bad as they had a lower end GPU .right ..

PC users will only get the original version added to their Uplay / ubi connect library

and yes they already said that's will be what's gonna happen ..

so there is NO special REMASTER of blood dragon for PC users

console versions with the new console version that yes will have alil bit better visuals .. to match what was always available on PC

they did the same exact thing with far cry 5 and its season pass when they gave our far cry 3 Deluxe with the far cry 5 season pass

console users yes got far cry 3 classic with more video options ,, but no MP or co op

and no .................you will not get an extra copy (or key ) you can gift away..on PC ..................if you already own FAR CRY 3 blood dragon on PC

they even said that here https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/artic...he-season-pass

and made it pretty clear on what will happen

*Console versions will include Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon — Classic Edition, while PC versions will include Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. < yes its the same version that's always been out for PC ..no remaster

I'm not sure I get what a Blood Dragon console remaster is trying to achieve when the game is of a retro vive and the world is in perpetual semi-darkness.

If the quality increased I'm not sure I'd see it (and it won't be in the cutscenes).

Blood Dragon was always SP only and yes I fully understand the situation. I'll just be happy to play blood dragon again and it remains the most appealing part of the season pass to me...
