    Trackmania: The new Royal mode is out!



    Today, we are happy to announce the release of the Royal mode. It has been designed for friendly team play, with a pool of 20 randomized fun and challenging maps, including one new map every day. Try to stay on the track and be the last team alive to win the match!

    This new mode comes with new physics and innovations available throughout the game: Water, Plastic Blocks, Animated & Dynamic items, giving you even more opportunities to build and enjoy incredible maps!
    You also have the possibility to generate a “Party Code” which allows you to create private Royal mode servers, where you can invite your friends to have fun together.

    Finally, another exciting feature called “Super Royal” gives you the opportunity to race amongst the best players. All players winning a Royal game during the following time slots (8-9 pm, 4-5 am, 12 pm-1 pm CEST) are qualified for the Super Royal which starts a few minutes after the time slot. As for the Royal mode, the last team remaining becomes the champion of the Super Royal. Epic clashes incoming!

    My experience so far

    game 1: joining bug -> restart -> clicked respawn > game crash
    game 2: joining bug -> restart -> game told me to hit retire to go to the next part of the map -> game crash
    game 3: clicked respawn -> game crashed.

    I'll wait for some hotfixes before I try again. Also please fix the joining bug, it's been there forever.

    However, everything else in the update looks amazing, and i can't wait to be able to play it!

    Absolutely fantastic update! Thank you so much for all the hard work, you guys pulled it back superbly after what happened this week.

    Quick bug report:
    - If a player on your team has already finished a loop of the current Royal map, and you are behind them, sometimes the prompt to join them on the current section they're on is incorrect (it might say Red instead of Green, etc)

    A few changes would be nice.

    1. When there is an option to spawn with your teammate at a color higher than the one you're currently on, do it automatically instantly.
    2. Either disable respawning after finishing so it has to respawn on it's own after the 2-3 seconds, or make it respawn instantly automatically at the next color when you go through a finish so people don't have to try timing their respawn as soon as they go through the finish and risking possibly doing a respawn early.


    Also, the super royal qualifying times are really confusing especially for those not in the CEST timezone. Please do them every 6 hours, so 4 in a day, starting with 8-9pm CEST so it's in the hour after COTD. That way everyone knows they are all on a 6 hour offset from that. So they would be:
    1. 8pm-9pm CEST
    2. 2am-3am CEST
    3. 8am-9am CEST
    4. 2pm-3pm CEST

    Or you could do them the same way but every 4, 3 or 2 hours instead.

    For the people who don't read the Suggestion topic, I suggest you do.

    This is what I came out with, feel free to suggest tweaks or changes. One sure thing is that the current system needs changing.

    Is the Super Royal feature actually active? I "qualified" in the 12-1pm CEST slot today and nothing seemed to happen.

    My replay after finishing a map is not working properly - it is showing me a top down view that is very zoomed out and does not follow the car whatsoever. I've also noticed that my ghosts do not respawn with me which makes improving sections slightly more difficult. I have verified files and it said everything was fine.

    There's a bug, if someone on your team finishes Black and is going through the early stages again sometimes it will tell you that you can teleport to them even if you can't because the timer for teleporting to Black hasn't reached 0 yet. I think the teleporting when available should be done automatically though like I said in my post above, since there is no point in finishing a stage that will not give your team any points if you don't have to. It's just wasting time.
