    Game freezes on alt-tab

    Whenever I alt-tab out of The Crew 2 while using my wheel and try to alt tab back it wont let me, the game is freezed and unresponsive. This issue has been going since I bought the game 2 days ago

    I am using a logitech g29 wheel and pedals (no shifter), having my wheel disconnected the game is also struggling with alt-tabbing but atleast it works.

    I have tried the following troubleshooting:
    - run as admin
    - change TheCrew2.exe dedicated cpu cores
    - windowed, windowed borderless
    -update gpu drivers
    -update logitech ghub
    -change TheCrew2.exe priority

    I tried uplugging my wheel then alt-tabbing then plugging it back in, the alt tab worked but as I plugged my wheel in the game froze.

    I really hope someone has a fix, since not being able to alt-tab without restarting my game sucks and I've tried nearly everything there is to find online (which is not much).

    Hey there demianwoooooooo, I'm sorry to hear about these freezes that occur when alt-tabbing. Could you please clarify with me if you're using the steering wheel to alt-tab or a keyboard?

    Hi, thanks for replying Im using my keyboard to alt tab, but when I alt-tab using my steering wheel the same freeze occurs

    What mode are you in? Fullscreen? Try setting it to BORDERLESS. I had a similar issue if I ALT+TABbed out too many times. Switching it to BORDERLESS or WINDOWED seems to fix this.

    Have you customised the mapping at all on the wheel?

    In game yes, nothing was mapped in the first place so, yes I had to map everything on my wheel. In my wheel software (Logitech GHUB)? no.

    Thank you for getting back to us!

    This issue is something that is being looked into by the team.

    There have been known issues with the game running alongside Logitech's G-Hub software, which was believed to have been resolved with a previous G-Hub release, however it seems the recent update has lead to further issues.

    At this time, please try running the game without G-Hub if possible, otherwise, we'll keep you updated as and when we have more information available from the team.
