I never really thought Rocksteady was all that strong. If you don't play into it like trying to throw an attack expecting them to wall splat or fall down. The only fixes it needed was character specific fixes like Cents fully charged punch and Highlanders caber toss, but oh well. I guess I'll just use the vastly more op smoke bomb.

There's so many more problematic feats than what Rocksteady was. For example, we mentioned smoke bomb and last laugh, but theres also Tiandi's 3rd and 4th feats, fireflask not dealing 100% team and minions damage, Lawbringer being able to throw a bomb on himself and gb you dealing massive damage to you, but very small amounts to him, Warmongers 4th feat (which isn't as bad now, but still much stronger than Rocksteady), bleed cleanse. That's all just to name a few.
I mean they stated it was taken care of because of how it impacted kits and made the direct comparison to thick blood.
As to why they addressed it over say smoke bomb it's anyone's guess. Smoke bomb has only semi recently come into play as an average players complaint. Where as both thick blood and rock steady have been universally complained about for a very long time. We could also speculate that they're still trying to figure out what they want to do with smoke bomb.
The comparison to thick blood is unfair. Thick bloods whole purpose was to be immune to bleeding which completely negated some characters kits. Rocksteady only negated some characters kits due to what I would refer to as bugs. I believe it was a bug that prevented Cents punch, caber toss, pancake flip to not work with it. Other characters kits worked fine with it, like Valks sweep, jorms oos punch ect.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
The only thing in my opinion smoke bomb needs is to let the player still lock on to enemies in it. I like that you can steal a point out from under a team, it makes it interesting. Either that or just remove it and put another semi useless feat in its place.
