Hey ho no big deal though.
It's purely a matter of personal preference. Some might not notice or care. But for me it turns me off of LMGs entirely.

In all the years i have been playing on console i have never had stick drift......my son had it once so i sent the controller back and got it replaced, his never had it since.

The reason they'll never offer this is obvious: it'd be the only set everyone in the DZ would use, and the "build diversity" goal they keep trying to encourage would go out the window.

As opposed to the other meta sets that people run?

I played this game since it launched and only ever set foot in the DZ once for the story mission it wanted and then never set foot there again. My idea stems solely for LZ play, probably should have mentioned that, sorry about that.

It could be tailored to be less effective on actual agents I suppose, but I'm unsure how to balance that.

True, but as you said it yourself: meta sets (plural).

Anyway, I get it that the DZ doesn't interest you and you were only thinking of PvE, but that wouldn't stop others from taking advantage of anything of anything they think would give them an advantage.

In any case, there's going to be no major changes to this game at this point in its life. Maybe you could hope if there's ever a Div 3, but with Division Heartlands coming out soon and no word on the next Division game after that...well, who knows.

Well, I don't know about that. If this upcoming winter's expansion is as big as Warlords of New York, there could be some fairly major changes in it. (But then again, maybe not.)

Given that we're half a year away from a major expansion, I'd imagine that Division 3 would be at least a year and a half down the road, if not two or more. They'd want to give some reasonable amount of time for the expansion to sell even if Division 3 were well under way.

The extra weapon handling also greatly extends the effective range of an SMG, making it feel more like a Police M4 AR with additional accuracy and stability. (I use an ACOG scope on it to bring up the damage curve a bit at range.) I've taken out groups of eight enemies with this in a single go if they couldn't find cover fast enough.

But maybe I'm missing something here with it because nobody but me ever seems to mention it, or use it in videos.
I'd love if the Weapon Handling stat did all it does and increased optimal range as well, a dream come true. Or tack on RoF as well, but that's a little unrealistic.

I would probably fall out of my chair if that were the case. This late in the game's lifecycle? Seriously, I highly doubt this.

I can picture a small map addition or expansion, maybe a new character or two, but nothing the size of WoNY.

I'm imagining a few missions, like Coney Island and a Manning/WhiteOak. Would love it if it came with a new neighborhood or two in NYC.

Heartlands won't replace The Division 3, but with Avatar & Star Wars on their plate, I'd assume TD3 is a '23 or '24 release, with Heartlands giving you a quasi-Div gameplay in the meantime. Maybe another few "Classified" style missions and a "1.8" for TD2 next year if enough people complete the coming content?
