    [09/06/2021] New update and changelog

    Hello everyone,

We're coming back with a new update that doesn't look like much, but a lot has changed in the background. We changed more than 1400 files of our code in order to prepare to the next big updates.
If you see any issue, please report it as soon as possible in the forums.

    GENERAL

+ Displayed the full date for the end of your Standard or Club access
+ Fixed an issue with the start of multi-lap maps when the map has another starting point
+ Fixed a rare script crash in the solo

    MATCHMAKING

+ Fixed squad view in matchmaking for display with a ratio superior of 16/9
+ Fixed a script crash for Master 3 ranks

    KNOWN ISSUES

+ Camera 3 is not working correctly
+ Double-tapping a camera change makes the camera look behind the car
+ Car physics changed and some press forward might be broken, sorry for the inconvenience

Thanks and see you on track!

broken cams, changed physics, your changelog is not complete

(old cam3 does simply not work, instead you get a backview, and cycle through the cams with keys that are not supposed to do that)
physics changed on the boost blocks, hitbox seems to be changed
water reflections in the graphics settings , yet no water blocks

custom car models : still ignored.

edit#3: you have beta/alpha testers, did they not test the cams/physics ?

    edit4:
    postive things:
you can now set colors to your blocks, that can be used with the macro block function then. (to use parts of you map as macro block)

I can't hide opponents in ranked mode since the update. In regular online play it still works.
And as mentioned, old cam3 doesn't work.

Also I lost rank points by trying to join a game before I updated. Got an error that my client version wasn't the same as the server version or something, and couldn't join. But still lost 30 points.

    1) Cam 3 is broken, i just got a rearview all the time
    2) change of physics of the booster blocks isn't mentioned here

Since this update, the game crashes and freezes my computer whenever I try to load into any map due to an error to do with my graphics card. Please fix this issue so I can play again.

Whenever you respawn playing on a server, a left-over car model stays at the place your car was, when you pressed the key. All those cars stay until the round ends.

Game crashes when looking at or shortly after closing a profile page.

There are a lot more things than announced in this patch.

Besides the cam bugs and other bugs that I see other people have mentioned already, a lot of things changed in the game, including PHYSICS-wise.

Not only the timing is awful because 2 major competitions are coming, and because we are mid-season (that is hard to fix because after those competitions, you would have to wait until the end of next season etc), but the most important thing to me is that the physics changes are not even mentioned anywhere in the patch notes.

This patch shouldn't be summed up as "a lot of files were changed" (which makes everyone reading it think "oh, they are preparing things but it will not affect my experience for now") and 3 lines of patch notes.

When physics are changed, when records are not beatable anymore and PF maps are dead, we would expect from a patch note to explain what changes in that regard.

That said, I (and most of us I think!) appreciate a lot the work done to improve our player experience on the long term, and I insist on that point, because I want the best for the game and franchise that I've been loving for so many years.

But from a user point of view, especially one with a paid access, receiving an update that looks rushed and not alpha-tested (most new bugs are acknowledged with like 30min of gameplay), and patch notes that are rushed aswell and do not reflect the changes we are going to witness when booting the game, feels very bad.
(Also, on a side note, I don't know why the alt cameras idea - hich is a great idea - has to be implemented the very next week after the idea pops up, into the live version of the game).

(And the phrase "If you see any bug, please report them", when we can witness some on the first run we play after updating, feels like we are being laughed at)

Anyway, I hope this all gets better soon, and I am already hyped for the next big things !
