While I understand making intelligent AI isn't essential, when you are trying to push a game out as fast as possible.
But your fans are going to notice, I personally loved what was done in Farcry 5 with companions. Not so much with Farcry New Dawn, but Farcry 5 is a masterpiece. When I saw FC6's gameplay I looked everywhere for a continuation of what made Farcry 5 an excellent game, not having to wonder the game alone without a human companion.
It's better to start listing what I expected to see in Farcry 6, so here goes.
1. Human Companions ~ Continued
1a. Human Companions with an inventory system, so they could be provided with clothing gear or specific weapons.
1b. Elements of Ghostrecon wildlands stealth take down tactics.
2. Bad assed looking attack choppers so far I saw what look like Mi-6's, hint Russian black market or something similar to Justcause?
3. Modern Fighter Jets, I didn't see any in the gameplay but I hope they are in the game.
4. After millions of years UBISoft finally figures out a way to stop that bs Co-op issue when a friend gets to far from you, that is just simply to much fun
when your friends are flying and they get jerked out of their aircraft to spawn on your helicopter blades.
5. The continuation of not having to become a pole dancer like Farcry 3 and 4, it almost feels like it could be making a return, you guys even spread that virus to the creators
of Dying light.
These are 7 major things that could potentially ruin De-Evolve or hold Farcry 6 back from becoming the greatest game of the year.
Funnily enough, when FC5 removed the tower climbing system, suddenly a bunch of fans of it emerged from the woodwork to lament the loss, even though up until then it'd be a seemingly universally detested feature that I never once saw defended.Originally Posted by DFM85000 Go to original post
I really hoped for that too. Guess, FC5 will still be my favorite FC game along with FC3 and Blood Dragon even after FC6 is released.Originally Posted by DFM85000 Go to original post
Then, Ubisoft is completely missing the money. Just imagine: you have a team of three NPCs. Customizable NPCs. For which you can buy skins, additional animations of phrases like in CoD MW2019 or Warzone. Activision makes a lot of money for this system and Ubisoft, by not implementing Guns for Hire properly - misses opportunity to make a lot of money by selling skins for them.Originally Posted by vTinzv Go to original post
Because fans were happy and didn't needed to go loud until some strange people decided, that it is good to remove a part of the game which gave gameplay some diversity?Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
No, there had always been plenty of people saying the radio and bell towers were lame and literally no one contesting it so Ubi took them out as it seemed a universally disliked feature and only then did anyone get sour about it.Originally Posted by Wild-Recon Go to original post
Our companion shouldn't make the walkthrough easier.
Companion should help us but not kill the gameplay making it less challenging.
This problem should be solved in the game.
They shouldn't do all the work for us.
Otherwise what's the point in companions?
To kill the gameplay?
Companions should help.
We should need that help!
Without their help - a disaster.
Companions in the game is not a mistake or something unnecessary - it's something that can make the game much better.
The problem is in their implementation.
I think in one of the future games we should have a Squad.
The team that we will assemble from many other characters.
We should be able to play for any member of the squad - to switch between them.
Every member should have its own character and skills.
Being in the body of another person should be felt even physically.
Someone runs faster - someone is stronger and so on.
Playing for them, experiencing them from inside......it will give us a sense of the team, as a whole, unity.
Not only one Me - but many Me.
The team - is me.
And I'm - the team.
If someone of the team dies - some part of me dies too.
The team made up of fighters and people, first of all, who complement each other in everything - worth its weight in gold.
Because after it is gone, everyone finally understood that these towers made gameplay more diverse and it was a great switch from driving/shooting?Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
