I see u speak the same bs attitude as hortys and you obviously dont care about the mapping community because you never been part of thr mapping community. why are you even posting here about the omission of one of the main features of a far cry game? does it add to the game that it has been removed?

And yes it will take away the fun for alot of people because alot of the fun came directly from the creation of user content. Just because you are not a map maker does not mean everyone thinks the way you do. What is established fact is that this series has consistently had a map editor for over 20 years and after 20 years this feature has been removed and you think well I dont give a damn but feel entitled to down talk people who are passionate about it. Shame on you. You are like the kid lauging at the other kid who dropped his ice cream cone on the ground. Well what goes around comes around.

And you sit there and have absolutely no connection to players who have spent more time in the map editor than you will EVER spend in the campaign. Im sorry but you are not entitled to comment on the map editor because you simply have no passion for it or much experience with it.

go comment about storylines or character art or some crap like that.

This narcissistic gatekeeping does you no credit.

Whilst I didn't find the arcade mode in FC5 particularly interesting, probably down the lamentable quality of maps that most people submitted, I know some people liked it.

It's worth a discussion of course, and not only by a handful of posters who insist on spamming the forum about this 'outrage'.

Come on guy you've been here a while. You know how important the map editor is to us.
Oh, HorTyS knows there is a passionate map editors fan base, and we know HorTyS is passionate about the franchise's gameplay. So there's no question about that.

It's just that spamming a forum with several threads on the same topic clutters the forum, not to mention that spamming is against the forum rules.

Sorry mate but if you are not a map maker stick to the posts where you know something about it. if you havnt made a bunch of maps yourself then you are not entitled to comment on the omission of the map editor beause clearly it doesnt affect you in any way personally whereas I AM entitled because I give a damn.
Oh look, now we've graduated from condescension to gatekeeping, the hits just keep on comin'! Like you, and anyone who signs up for these message boards, I'm free to comment in any thread on this forum provided the content of said comment does not infringe upon the terms and conditions. You won't find me telling you not to comment in a topic I have a vested interest in, so if seeing something I've written really puts such a knot in your knickers, add me to your ignore list, but you can bite my bird if you think you can tell me what threads I can and can't post in. You do seem quite entitled though!

As for the topic at hand, I hope all the reasonable map editor fans get a standalone title down the line or something. Perhaps untethering such a tool from the FC franchise could open up a whole slew of new options and features, but that's pure speculation at this time.

This guy gets it! How are ya Steve? Hope you're doing well, and yes, I've not suggested people stop discussing their disappointment, I'm simply saying there is no need, benefit, reason or justification to have 10 threads about the same thing. What good does it do to fracture what conversation you all wish to have?

What a stupid decision, and an idiotic excuse for not including it.

I know the game won't flop, but it will most likely be forgotten.
No you don't lol, if you assume a game is going to be a hit because of a few flashy game trailers, you're setting yourself up to be Cyber Punked. I've already decided to wait a year to buy this game because their are no human companions.

The money I would have happily given to UBI is probably going to end up going to Bethesda, we will find out in 4 days if the PC is screwed for Starfield.

I am aware of how important it is to many players, yes, nothing I said suggests otherwise.

The issue I'm raising is that making 10+ threads isn't disruptive to Ubisoft, it's disruptive to other members of the forum. No one at Ubi is going to look at this forum and think "wow, there're a bunch of threads expressing disapproval of taking out the map editor, maybe we should address this". Ubisoft knew when they made the decision that there'd be significant backlash to it, it'd be naive to believe otherwise, they did it anyway.

It makes no sense to spread out the discussion amongst multiple threads anyway and just scatter your own message about what a mistake you feel they're making. Mappers have every right and reason to be upset, but making a ton of threads saying the same thing is misdirected disruption that literally accomplishes nothing other than frustrating people who have nothing to do with it.

I honestly agree with Hortys, all the threads won't help, one is enough if enough can make their voices heard on it.

I am definitely NOT going to be purchasing a game that will charge the same price or more than its predecessors and include less content.

I'll wait until its free, or just pay full price for a standalone editor game. The campaign was always a side thing for me on Farcry.

I gotta thank anyone who replied to this post _ it just gives more exposure to the complete idiocy of ubi to omit the editor. Thanks for replying and keeping my thread and my post so lively with discussion.

As everyone can clearly see, this post is controversial which means it is ultimately important that the map editor is required otherwise nobody would be even discussing it.

I don't want to offend anyone personally but of course as a very long time player of Far Cry I believe that in these forums my voice might be heard.

I won't be buying Fc6 on the basis that it features the same lacklustre benefits as primal and blood dragon.

It's half a far Cry game. Why would I pay full price for what is totally inconsistent with previous titles?

Its not even that in my eyes Sab.
Many of us who made maps, could easily spend weeks on building a single map, yet only a few minutes in the campaign.

Meaning (for me) it would be a total waste of money.

Im gonna really miss the community that was built up through the years, the creativity & positivity that people would show...it fought through too many disappointments, but still hung on.
Still cant believe there's no editor.

I was playing around in the Far Cry 4 Map Editor, way after Far Cry 4 was popular.
As Far Cry 5's popularity diminishes, we're still able to enjoy the Arcade editor. I for one still like to mod the editor, trying to squeeze some more life out of it yet.

I wish Ubisoft would release an asset pack update for it, adding New Dawn (and possibly Far Cry 6) assets to it. It wouldn't require much effort to add the required resources to the patchfile, yet still bring something new to the editor.
