    Farcry 4 no sound

Hi, I just installed far cry 4, when I started the game the audio worked fine, but when I got into the game itself I couldn't hear anything anymore.

what are you running for SPEAKERS ?

have you checked your settings in WINDOWS

right click on your speaker icon in your task bar

    select OPEN volume mixer

    dbl clik on em
select ADVANCED tab //what is your bit rate set to ?

    mine says

select your sound device .. for me it says SPEAKERS Realtek audio device

under ADVANCED set that to 16 bit 44100 and work your way up till you hear sounds

also make sure your proper device is set to use your sound

far cry 4 by the way does not support 7.1 surround sound so if you have that enabled .. shut it off and set it to STEREO for your sound output .. the game only supported up to 5.1 audio

also with many head sets you may need to configure the game in the head sets software before you launch it

i forget what one it was my nephew had a few yrs ago .. he had the same problem ..

here in his head set software .. the game was muted in the head set software ..but the into played ..just not in game sound till he configured it

i just stick with a set of stereo SPEAKERS and my head set plugs right in the front mic and front out put ports on my PC .. and it always worked fine with the real tek sound chip on my asus motherboards... or even my old sound blaster LIVE card i used to use when the game first shipped and i had an old dell with crappy onboard sound

    Hey Mr.Niek,

    Welcome to the Forums!

WID992007's suggestion is very right, please make sure the game and your PC is set to Stereo.

May we please also know what audio output devices you've tried yet?

    Thank you!
