    Third person view perhaps?

I know this is and always should be a first person shooter.. but why not have the options to choose between FPS/TPS. I mean you already have the animations for third person. You would sell so many more copies.. because i know there are a lot of gamers that don't like FPS games. If Skyrim from 2011 can pull that of.. i'm sure as hell know you can too.

The game has more third-person views than normal.

I think a FPS/TPS toggle is less trivial to pull off than it might seem.

The problem with having the game fully playable in both first and third person is that both perspectives suffer, case in point, your skyrim example. Had they focused on a single perspective they could have improved the game with better responsiveness and more intuitive control. There is more than enough 3rd person elements in FC6 already, I'd rather they not degrade the first person experience further by spending more time making a 3rd person mode for general gameplay myself.

Oh! I didn't know that. Interesting. Thanks for the info.

In our most recent look at Far Cry 6, Ubisoft showed a few instances where it looked like the player could shift from first-person to third-person regarding perspective. Some fans wondered if that was an actual gameplay feature or something specific to just cutscenes. Luckily, Ubisoft has confirmed that a third-person mode won't be limited to just a small portion of the game because the team wants to be able to fully explore the Dani experience without limitations.

In a recent interview with GameSpot, narrative director Navid Khavari told the site that there were a few different reasons that factored into the decision to offer a third-person option. Among the chief reasons was that the team wanted players to be able to experience Dani as fully as possible. "In cinematics, [third-person] is something the team tried early on, and it felt surprisingly seamless," Khavari told the site. "It instantly felt like there was more of a connection to Dani's journey in the world, more of a connection to this epic story in Yara."

He added that this decision will also allow for players to fully enjoy their character customizations, immersing fans even further into this rebellious narrative. Players will be able to swap to third-person in guerilla camps and during certain combat situations, all with the idea in mind that this could highlight Dani in a much better way. This perspective change can also be seen when players use a Supremo backpack, as well. "In the Supremo backpack moments during gameplay, the third-person transition is intended so players can see all of the backpack's effects, and better feel its impact in action," he said.
This decision, according to the narrative direction, will allow players to connect with the character, even more, seeing them within the world of Yara versus just through their eyes.

Hey Champ, nice to see you again!

Personally I don't really get how seeing the character will form any better sort of connection. If anything I feel like switching between first and third person in games always seems to sever whatever connection was formed. I've never been a fan of swapping between perspectives within a game. Didn't like it in Ghost Recon, never did it in Skyrim. In an FPS, I'm fine with seeing our character in cut-scenes, but feel all gameplay should commit to a single perspective.

I already saw how seamless it is as soon as Ubisoft unveiled gameplay videos. This doesn't apply to just Far Cry, but also other games such as Resident Evil. You'll notice how the main protagonist is more expressive in third person than in first person. In first person, you only see your own arms, legs and hear the tone of your character's voice. So first person is limited and it may explain why Far Cry protagonists are not as memorable as the villains. Dani Rojas does seem to have more character than other protagonists. Sergeant Rex "Power" Colt from Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Jack Carver from Far Cry 1 do have cutscenes outside of first person, and it does appear they have more interactions with other characters.

I don't think Far Cry 6 is anything like the Elder Scrolls or Fallout games. I think it's more similar to Halo Reach. The thing about the Supremo backpacks, it's on your back. You can't exactly see much if you launch missiles coming from your back, instead you might have a shaky screen and missiles coming from the sky. I suppose it's in third person so you know exactly where it is coming from. The Supremo backpacks seems to function similarly to Halo Reach's armor abilities, some of which will change the camera into third person when activated. If you're just using your guns, I believe that will stay in first person. The same applies to driving vehicles since they didn't reveal any footage of third person driving.

I really love takedowns in these games, but now I'm a little torn because I kind of always thought part of what was great about FC was that it was very strictly first person all the time, but now I'm thinking I wouldn't hate it if takedowns pulled out to a 3rd person view when you perform them sort of like the assassinations in the later Halo games... I think the supremo backpacks seem kinda lame tbh, but I'm curious to find out what the remaining ones do. Maybe there's one that has an effect I'll like. At this point if the flamethrower one can be used to soften the landing from high falls and negate fall damage, thats the one I'll use.
