Please Ubisoft brings the map editor into FC6, it was always part of the series and is also the reason why many players spend well over 1000 hours in the Far Cry games. There is a large community that deals with it.
It is a huge disappointment for the fans of Far Cry that the map editor is no longer included, and that is why a lot of people will no longer buy the game, maybe at some point in the sale at most.

It's a shame that the realignment of Ubisoft after the breakpoint disaster is already fading, you wanted to listen to the fans and take the time so that it becomes the way the community wants it to be. Removing the editor is a kick in the stomach for many Far Cry fans

Without an editor, there is no party. I will not buy FC6 on launch day as I have always done, I will wait a few months for it to be cheap and it will depend on how good it is.

I respect the team for telling us this early, unlike in the FC4 marketing cycle. So thanks for that. I'll obviously not spend $70 on FC6, but im still interested.

All that said, our energy would be best spent asking Ubisoft to make a standalone Arcade. It deserves it, honestly. If done right, could really make a big splash, especially if its Free to Play.

The Map Editor of the Far Cry games is what makes it truly standout. The Map Editor is why I always come back to the Far Cry games if the Editor isn't there I have no real interests to comeback to the new Far Cry games.

Or, hopefully for a standalone release that really focuses on the potential the editor can bring.
Hoping is pretty much all we have left. If there is going to be a standalone release, then I hope it would be a spinoff to Far Cry 6. Like how Far Cry Instincts is a spinoff to Far Cry 1, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon to Far Cry 3, Far Cry Primal to Far Cry 4 and Far Cry New Dawn to Far Cry 5. While I really like how Ubisoft experiments with these games, Blood Dragon, Primal and New Dawn tend to be criticized for reusing assets and the map.

Knowing Ubisoft, they wouldn't want to announce this anytime soon and we'd have to wait until 2022 or 2023 before they show off Far Cry 7.

Maybe there will be plans for a standalone editor one day...

I'll just use the $70 on something else. I won't be buying FC6. What a stupid decision by the company.

It was always a missed opportunity, Ubisoft killed the map editor and now we have to pay for it.

Petition would be a bit pointless at this juncture, that ship has sailed. I'd say the best you could hope for is that they're working on making a standalone thing, but that'd be at least a year or 2 away I reckon.

I also support a standalone editor or bringing it back into FC in some way. It is my favourite part about about any far cry game. Truly though I would love to see it become standalone, breaking away from the FC name so it can become it's own thing with more game modes than just shooting.

I've been adicted to playing the farcry editor ever since fc2. It's my favourite feature and the first thing I want to do when playing the game. It's solely been the only reason I buy the games. Please bring it back. Like others, I do also feel it's time for it to be a standalone product. However would welcome it back into farcry.

You've got a great community behind it ubisoft! Don't let us down!

They only said arcade would not return though, which hopefully means the editor will be back? I really hope so too.

I think arcade was a great idea, however I did not like how present it was inside the games world, having map markers and seeing these arcade machines everywhere was not great for immersion. If it comes back, I would prefer it to be a mode you select in the main menu, not the games world.
