I heard the news yesterday that there will be no arcade in Far Cry 6 , does that mean that there will be not editor at all?
If so please reconsider,or release it as a standalone editor, I know many player who just got the Far Cry games for the editor and who would buy a standalone editor, you could sell assets packs from other UbiSoft games to add to the editor.

Yes, Ubisoft confirmed in an Ask-Me-Anything on Reddit that a Map Editor won't be part of Far Cry 6:
Here's hoping for an update to Far Cry 5 Arcade that adds some static objects from New Dawn and Far Cry 6 to the editor. No, Arcade will not come back. Removing this mode from our plan was a difficult decision, but allowed us to focus our efforts on the main campaign, transporting players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution. - Alex
Or, hopefully for a standalone release that really focuses on the potential the editor can bring.
Indeed bad news that no mapeditor (or even PvP multiplayer) will be in Far Cry 6. Was hoping to pick up FC6 for this reason.
Although no real surprise when you look at how Arcade was received and used in FC5. Not meaning the hardcore mappers. Due to lack of good gamemodes and the mixed quality of custom maps most casual players did not use it much ...
I really hope there will be a spin-off Far Cry (free to play?) spin-off of FC6. With excellent PvP/game modes support (12v12) and the return of the excellent mapeditor. Just let the community create the maps, with voting system, proper lobby system so we can host the best maps. Like in the FC2 & FC3 times.
I would pay for the (standalone) mapeditor when it as good as in FC5 and has these feature ... hint hint.
I pre-ordered Far Cry 5 bought all the side content because it had a great editor. I appreciated that the assets from each DLC was added to arcade. I felt the editor had great potential too. I even purchased the game again on Xbox. But I will NOT be buying Far Cry 6 at all now since it will have no editor. You are abandoning key content that makes series so good. Most creators I know are not interested in buying FC6 either since the editor was confirmed not to be included. I consider this choice a big mistake. Please reconsider Ubisoft.
To explain further on my FC5 Arcade comment - the mapeditor in FC5 is awesome, really is. Only Ubi cut some fundamental corners in Arcade (in my view) which hurt it só much that it is obvious it was not a huge success.
We saw similar weird design decisions in FC3 en FC4. The mapeditor is really good, but they forgot that you need good PvP support to get it to fly.
Like in FC3, FC4 and FC5 the PvP is under developed. They cut corners to save production time. Without good gamemodes, fun PvP, most people won't invest the energy in creating maps.
So again, I really hope that an separate studio will focus on developing good and flexible PvP. Because with this you can create whatever game you want.
Just patch the FC5-mapeditor so you can upload our maps into this new spin-off game and we are good to go !!![]()
Gentlemen of ubisoft.
I've been playing far cry since the first one and your work has always been superb.
When you decided to add a map editor to your games, the added value was multiplied.
I am one of the players who are looking to buy games that contain "more" in priority than the game itself.
Reconsider your decision or pull out a full-fledged map editor.
We have trusted you for years, through all your games, do not disappoint the community.
If you think I'm delusional, take a ride on the far cry aracde and look at the release frequency of each map, you'll be surprised.
Thank you for reading it.
This is the only franchise I've mainly played over the last 7 or so years. The only reason I bought Far Cry 3 was because I heard there was a map editor, and I didn't know Far Cry had map editors before then. Since Far Cry 3 and onwards, I've always had my head stuck in the editor. While I was not interested in a Far Cry 6 game, I did like a lot of things I seen in the recent reveal. Mainly cause I was looking forward to being able to possibly play with these new features in the Far Cry 6 Map Editor. To hear there won't be a map editor at all, is a real downer.
I do support a standalone editor and multiplayer, but the multiplayer needs to be really well developed to get, and keep the interest of the average gamer. Then you'll have those that are interested in the map making, designing the content for the multiplayer side. I'm also fine with purchasing asset packs, however, they must be worth a purchase, and not just "Wall Assets" for 1.99$
I will be skipping Far Cry 6, though I have to say it does look interesting, but I've made my decision. If we do get some type of editor/multiplayer, I hope we hear about it soon.
