Outriders, WH40k Darktide, Necromunda Hired Gun, Halo Infinite(if it releases in 2021), Farcry 6, Back 4 Blood, and I'm sure a few others.Originally Posted by Bursucul Go to original post
I really wish I could sit in on the corporate meetings about the Division franchise. But I suspect it would go something like "PUT ALL RESOURCES ON MOBILE/BR! That's where the money is! F**k all other considerations!"
Hehe, we'll see about Far Cry 6 and other unreleased games.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post

i love when they just count all the accounts bought and just compare that to an active player base... oldest trick in the book , its not a lie but it isnt true either.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
Hmmm!
We were told that The Division and Division 2 had a total of 40 million players across both games right.
So i did some number checking between the 2 games on the X box and the Playstation consoles. PC i can't find many numbers.
Right total of 40 million players across both games.
The Division PS4 10 million 200,000
The Division 2 PS4 5 million 200,000
The Division X box 11 million 500,000
The Division 2 X box 4 million 300,000
Totals
The Division ,,,,,,,21.7 million players on console
The Division 2,,,,, 9.5 million players on console
Total 31.2 million players
That leaves out of the 40 million total about 8.8 million on PC.
So my Question is How many players is Thylander talking about what platforms and what real time frame.?
It depends on what your real goals are. Because if you care more about reducing your recurring out the door costs, more than you care about player satisfaction, what happened today is actually a really, really good strategy.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Brilliant actually, because it won't have a significant impact on new sales because most people that buy it don't even finish the story. The minority that do, most of them call it "done" and move on to the next shiny ball. It is but a small sliver of the overall sold game count that represents people who are in the end game waiting for season repeats.
And they know from experience they can pretty much make any mistake and still not lose us.

[edit] and because some muppet will claim I'm shilling for Ubi, nope. I'm pointing out that their corporate goal is to grow the Division franchise. Keeping highly-engaged players interested is secondary to that.
That's been obvious since we discovered Seasons would only give one new mission per quarter.Originally Posted by tcarlisle2012 Go to original post
