Not that big of a deal but communications can be much better. People have expectations and when there is zero communication you can expect people will be disappointed. We also can expect more from a big developer. Just be open and transparent beforehand, not after. Season 6 starts 1-6 is not the same as 7-6. If you just said it starts 7-6 no-one would care. The players pay your bills, then threat them as such. Invest time and effort in your community or they will be gone when the next great game comes along. Untill now there is none (at least for me) but that can change...
Okay, thanks for the link, but now I'm even more confused...
Is this "pre-season" period when nothing happens, no leveling up, no FP caches, normal? Or just another F-up?
I mean, it was clear that the season starts June 1st, not the "pre-season" (or whatever "nothing" this is)...
Oh, Ubi, you never fail to WTF...
Seems likely to me they intended to start it today, but something wasn't working as intended so they put it off for a week while they sort whatever-it-is out (I mean, coming from Diablo III I expected between-season downtime previously, and was pleasantly suprised to find new seasons starting the day after the previous one finished)!
That's just speculation of course, but they could definitely use a bit of improvement in their communication skills, and the levelling thing is clearly an unintended bug.
I am inclined to agree... and the lack of communication is a symptom of "internal WTF?!"
Just another sign that TD2 is now managed from the corner of the desk with no QA whatsoever... I wish they would just leave it alone when it works, similar to TD1.
Btw, this is something more than downtime between seasons, even the normal leveling-up isn't not working... Definitely, something went sideways this morning.
This corporate-style BS with "pre-season" is just a lame smoke screen. We would always appreciate some openness instead.
the way this is being lead is the way i would do it if i wanted to kill a certain title with little to no fuss , the residual noise that has been happening is easily mitigated by the mods here an on reddit.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
i dont understand it either but one thing im sure , this isnt the right way to go about and it will probably end up in a dead game receiving new content and them saying "we knew it! we should have killed it months ago."
