Dynamic weather and tree destruction is back in Far Cry 6. They even added active windshield wipers for vehicles, which is a new detail in the series.

The thing with Far Cry 2's malaria, handheld map & GPS, respawning outposts, weapon degradation, and damaged vehicles that require frequent repairing is that they are more of a nuisance that interferes gameplay. A lot of people complained about this back in 2008, and I remember some people complained by saying 'I wouldn't wish having to complete Far Cry 2 on my worst enemy'. Far Cry 3 is the result when addressing all the problems Far Cry 2 had. According to the achievements on Xbox 360, only about 8.09% of all players who played Far Cry 2 had completed the main story. The percentage of those who completed Far Cry 3 and 4 is significantly higher (About 32.88% and 26.39%, respectively). Even for those games, Ubisoft removed skinning animations and climbing radio towers for Far Cry 5 due to player feedback.

We can expect realism when it comes to the environment, animations and graphics, but not so much when it comes to gameplay mechanics if it interferes the player's experience.

Then I am happy to see confirmation we will never see trash game in future again from such honorable studio Ubisoft is and we can look forward to next high quality games in their portfolio.

In other words something has to be done and changed now otherwise the very poor quality of games will continue and we can expect another load of trash games although technology goes further and much more tools to provide realistic experience in games then many years ago where we could enjoy much more realistic games than today.

Ok so why the sh*tty consolers who even dont know how to play games are dictating the rules? They should go and play Minesweeper and not AAA title if too complicated for them.
Why others with highend PCs should suffer to have lightweight version of nice game only because noobs with gamepads in hands are not capable to stand realistic game and rather want simple arcade to be able to say after couple of hours something like "game finished, I am bored again".

In my opinion, Far Cry is not a series for noobs. And console should not cut a big portion of gameplay and realism to other players only because noobs with gamepads cry. Tons of other simple arcade games for them. So why they ruin one of so small group of technically awesome games.

I was only using Xbox 360 achievements as statistics, there are many PC players who complained and they would even write negative review bombs on metacritic on the PC section. You can even find these negative reviews on steam as well. Those are not my complaints, I actually completed Far Cry 2 on Infamous and enjoyed it. I appreciated Far Cry 2 for what it is, but that's not for me to say to dismiss the negative opinions. Of course I don't take user reviews in websites such as metacritic seriously because most of which are laughable and ridiculous. Far Cry 1 on PC and Far Cry Instincts even on the original Xbox were not easy games. When Far Cry Instincts Predator on Xbox 360 and Far Cry Instincts Evolution on the original Xbox introduced two harder difficulty options for story mode, they can be quite brutal.

Also, it's user feedback. Ubisoft had a survey for those who played the original Far Cry games between 2004 and 2006 and a lot of people didn't like Jack Carver, which is why he didn't even return in Far Cry 2. Far Cry 2 itself has user feedback that Ubisoft had also taken into consideration for Far Cry 3. So if you want to express your frustrations, it should be against those who made these complaints 13 years ago.

    Thank you for valuable reply.

On one side you are right because todays young players are noobs having no problem to accept crap and tons of DLC. They might not know the great old times when we received game on couple of cds/dvds and played it for weeks or longer, enjoying every single piece of it. I am very happy I was able to live such days.

On the other side, with current progress I am afraid we will receive in couple of years AAA games pretending how cool they are although with closer look it will be crap. And worse thing that maybe these will be acceptable because many young players will not have comparison with good old days. How far this could go?

HW is better each day, technology improvements too. One would say based on this we could expect better and better games... But the opposite is true. So bad, so sad.
As I said. For sure Far Cry is not a game for everyone. Same as for any other game. And constantly doing from top AAA game some C- game only because plenty of noobs cannot stand they cannot play the game because of their zero skill? Making plenty of skilled players suffering from quality of game going lower every 1-2 year when sequel is released?

This is a highway to hell I think.

There's nothing about playing on console that suggests inability. I haven't owned a PC in some 15 years and I don't miss it.

If you design games only for high-end PCs then you will go bust as the player-base will be inadequate.

Far Cry is a series for all sorts of players. Your notion of gatekeeping new players or players without some special ability from playing is utter nonsense.

Again you are out of topic. This is about noob players ruining experience for other players where Ubisoft not sure why but listening to crying noobs. Maybe it goes well together with savings on budget for the game. But thats another topic too.

The aim of this topic is to bring to Ubisoft attention that players who are with their games from the very beginning are still expecting complex quality games. And we know Ubi can do it and maybe it is as easy as stop listening to noob players where these can always switch to games regarding their low skills.

This topic is also rather than just watching how quality of games is ruined every year. We only can hope it is not too late.

Your attitude to new and other players is appalling.

It's reassuring that your points will be ignored by Ubisoft, and rightly so.

Oh look a pc elitist who thinks the platform he prefers is the only "correct" way to play and other platforms are the cause for all the perceived issues he sees in the industry. Gimme a break. If pc snobs are so smart, how'd you not even know the appropriate channels to submit feedback? Lol, asking ubi about FC6 features via their support channels, but it's because of consoles (where the bulk of game sales happen) that the perceived degradation of Ubi's quality stems from? Grow up. Why are so many pc elitists the this smug and arrogant?

Dream on. It is now obvious you stayed frosty locked in very small console area with no possibilities. Very easy and empty life. Enjoy if you like it this way. But dont bring AAA model to your low level.
