Stupid decision. After the campaign goes stale this game will be forgotten.

I will not be purchasing this game, I've owned every Farcry except 4 and have edited my *** off and loved it. What a disappointment and poor direction for the company to take.

Hopefully we can get a standalone Arcade, I would pay full price for that. I won't pay a dime for this game.

    I'm out too.

Ubisoft, if the reception the mp portions of this franchise has disappointed you then you have only yourselves to blame. We told you exactly what we wanted over... And over... And over. You literally never budged at all. You plowed ahead with your **** features we told you we didn't want. We told you in advance that your mp parts would fail and that you would eventually use this as an excuse to cut the editor.

Well congratulations, you cut literally the ONLY thing that made this franchise special.

stiff necked devs reap what they sow. very disappointed by the strange decision to omit the map editor. i guess the game wont fully be recognised as a proper far cry game, more like along the lines of blood dragon.

That was my thought. No map editor = Side game. So they made a spin off, but gave it a numbered title instead of calling it what it is. That way they can slap a $60+ price tag on it.

it probably fits the worldly mold of consumer feedback to make a buck.

sad story. far cry, and most games, didnt used to be about money. some of the most memorable games were made by a few mates out of garages with a vision of getting real recognition, and they got it because it wasnt about the money for them.

nowadays devs will be bragging their game made so many billions, then in a few years all forgotton. shame they all sold out on the players. the only legends in gaming now are retired or gamers themselves.

its like the difference between david bowie and any music artist out there today, unless im unaware of anyone with real passion for anything anymore. gaming died in 2012.

A +1 for any Bowie reference.

What happened to gaming in 2012? There have been many fine games since then.

They have dropped so many cool features that I sense this will be an over-hyped cyberpunk style cash grab.

Big money has come to the gaming industry.
    With all its consequences.

Games won't be the same any more.

Big money dictates its own rules.
    The game must be profitable.
(If 1mln was spent on the game it must bring 2,5 mln minimum.)

The game must generate revenue and company must grow.
Otherwise bigger predators will eat it.

Everyone grows as they can. (Microtransactions.....and so on.)
In their place you would do the same.

Ubisoft is adapting to the existing reality and try to survive.

The quality of goods targeted profit is gradually decreasing.
Which means that games won't be better. (They're developing for larger and larger audience)

In the existing reality money dictates the game.
Those who couldn't understand it or couldn't fit it disappeared from the face of big gaming industry.

    We should be realistic.

Rule №1 - the game must be profitable!
All our suggestions should be in accordance with this Rule №1.
