Nah, they should instakill instead. The results are the same.Originally Posted by deathtocakl Go to original post
bashes are even unrealistic in the sense that they actually can be blocked, you can block a punch or kick in real life, so I always hated bash meta spam, but I understand why some heroes have it (shields can be used effectively for bashing, historically speaking) so yeah this mechanic can stay but the stamina pause is just there for aiding some privileged chars.
We can standardize like:
bashes for everyone.
no bashes for everyone but bashes can´t do stam regen pause anymore.
bashes for everyone, stam regen pause for everyone.
alternatively, bashes do more stam dmage, no pause regen, and they are faster, BUT WITHOUT A FOLLOW GUARANTEED ATTACK.
In my ideal realistic game bashes can be blocked with the right timing but hey in this game shaolins can teleport.
I can understand that someone big attacking a stationary target with full momentum will stagger said stationary target. There should indeed be a bulwark-like counter for more robust characters who could probably withstand a little Chinese worm tapping them with one hand (with the right prep).Originally Posted by MayanKingGaming Go to original post
However, realism would throw most chars in the bin, starting with the naked ones.
yeah I know, since we get a jorm without shoes and a gigantic viking protected only by his skin against poleaxes, realism is out of the question sadly.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post

I also agree that all Heroes, should have bashes, in order to diversify the options they have.
But I understand that this would lead to another type of standard balance that would be required in which everyone should have something with HA, unblockable bleed, etc etc ... And that will no longer be as viable.
For the rest you end with a sentence that sums it up ... When you have characters that teleport, and with a wooden stick they manage to beat a Lawbringer with a Polish armor with great thickness.
I think that at the beginning of the game, the elements were changed, the knights due to the armor, is that they should have HA, and the Vikings have more bashes given their ferocity.
But whatever ...
another idea I think is most balanced and realistic is:
bashes are slightly faster, can be blocked with an input.maybe the GB button or other.
if blocked they will always stagger and quit a stamina. But the stun has a little window to respond to any attack.
if not blocked they quit much more stamina and can have a follow guaranteed attack.
I know this will not be implemented but for another game it could work, maybe.
I'm a proponent of the idea of being able to softfeint from heavy to bash just to harass and stamina drain to cause more risk when trying a parry.
For Honor 2? Let's improve the first ...Lately there has been a certain laziness, from new pre-made heroes like the Warmonger clone of Appolion, and with an identical (but improved) moveset to Warden. A Hero who has gear from various factions to please the whole world ... General executions equal for everyone along with Emotes (that is excellente because nobody purcheses that garbage, and people save Steel for better things). ....
Possibly the next characters in the absence of creativity, should be based on Daubeny, Gudmundr or Tozen... just saying...
But I have yet to see the day when a half-human, half-mythical character will come. I'm just warning you...![]()
Warmonger is not more similar to Warden than Shaman is to Pk. The people balancing her kit did an excellent job (while the ones doing her feats got a bit too much weed).Originally Posted by PicoAncus Go to original post
If you start to investigate realism, you will soon realize how limited a hero roaster can be. Nothing would beat a Lawbringer, until firearms were invented, that armor made them semi-immortal, the only way to kill them was to tackle them and stab their visors with specifically made daggers. The difference is kinda like current weapons vs WWI weapons against any Samurai.
Also, rougish heroes, barbarian heroes would never work, they are a fantasy thing, nobody went into battle like that (more than once).
