I am having serious tracking and calibration problems, especially in Zen's scoring system. Or am I? If you've tried Dance Central by Harmonix, they indicate what part is "off form" with a red glow. Even Kinect Adventures' Leaks game is easier to figure out. I sorely hope that UbiSoft offers a patch to YourShape to show us WHERE THEY WANT US TO MOVE and TROUBLESHOOTING options for calibration if scores are low.

After two hours of playing, watching, recalibrating, increasing lighting and general troubleshooting, my friend and I wonder how those white lines are suppose to help. It would be most helpful if UbiSoft:

1) Add new Indicator Lines or ghost form to show us what to match on our side;

2) Animate a blink or a glow to the white lines to show when you are in the proper position and gradually turn green when the position is correct and should be held.[/list]

    * UbiSoft already has this information in code to calculate the score. This request is to bind it to a visual indicator. These could also be options users can turn off or on. It would seriously help us to determine if the calibration is off or if it is our form.

I've done Yoga for years, and get miffed at a low score on those moves. The advertised "feedback on each move so you know you're doing them correctly" isn't helpful (since it just says I'm not doing them correctly, again, without helping me determine if it's the Kinect calibration or my form). My friend behind me couldn't tell what I was doing "wrong" either.

-> Don't give me a score and not show me how to improve it. It's like a someone yelling "LOSER" at you over and over again because you don't know how to play the game. Isn't that the game's job? If I can't tell if my position is off or the game is not working, my fun quotient just plummeted to zero. It's no ET Adventures, but the fact that it reminded me of it was a sad, sad sign.

This title is worth patching. I'll keep my ear out another week for an announcement. I posted to friends to come over and try it before they buy. I expect a lot of DLC (downloadable content) and expansion packs for this title over the next year, in keeping with its 'Evolve' theme, and because the technology is so new.

I wrote this note more for Ubisoft site monitors to report up. I've had that job before on other sites and hope this helps in those meetings when they ask "What features are users asking for in forums?" Thanks

Great suggestion! Rather than saying "step wider", it would be great if they said "this is how it should look", with a superimposed ghost figure (or stick figure) on your figure. That would be tremendously helpful to troubleshoot.

    EXCELLENT POST! FIVE STARS EASILY!

I am fully behind this and hope that UBI implements in THIS game and not a sequel or DLC.

I also really like the idea of indicator lines which gradually change color. This kind of feedback would help users make fine adjustments to their form.

Technically speaking, it should be straightforward to calculate coordinate distance from the current skeletal form to the ideal skeletal form, then use these measurements to calculate color from a gradient. A red/yellow/green color metaphor would be intuitive; a white-to-green metaphor would be intuitive and more positive for the user.

Excellent post. I, too, will be looking forward to see if there are updates and downloadable addons.

stop the floor from moving around once kinects its locked on to you then the floor should stay fixed you can move around within the square if you need more room then let it just increase the size of the square

I agree that on-screen indicators of what we're doing wrong and how to improve would be great. Please add this feature in an update!

    +1 for this request.

As a Zen beginner I have to guess where I am going wrong and sometimes can't figure it out, I feel that YS is not really teaching me.

Great suggestion... especially in the "Zen" there seem to be virtually no suggestions for improvement. The personal trainer goes make comments reminding you to take a wider stance or stay in rhythm. But the Zen classes leave you to guess.

There also seem to be some bugs in the tracking. Often the plie shows that I'm doing the individual steps correctly (squat, arms open) and when the move is over it says I did 0%. I'd love an indicator of what it thinks I should be doing differently.
