Technical issue with no solution so far...

I'm posting here because I couldn't get any traction in support.

It's about the microphone not working in-game... Well, it works for 5 to 10 minutes after I start the game, then no one can hear me anymore.
Tried all possible settings, verified installation files, multiple headsets (USB and normal jacks), back and front connectors, and no luck. The headsets work very well in any other apps. Tested with GR Breakpoint and everything works as expected for hours.
I am out of things to try... Thanks for any ideas.

Wow, you've brought such an easy nut to crack! LOL

When you refer to "multiple headsets", would I be correct in assuming that they are different manufacturers, and by "verified installation files", you're referring to the game files, and not potential headset or other 3rd-party sound apps beyond those provided by your motherboard?

Just attempting to rule out potential setup conflicts that interact with D2 code.

But, like you, I suspect it's errant D2 coding. In this scenario, the verification would only prove duplication, and not functionality.

We have a couple clanmates for whom D2 game comms frequently go down early during raids, almost discriminately. Playing with your jacks won't help. It seems to be a corrupted process load.

    1. ALT-F4.
    2. Reload.
    3. Confirm that in-game audio settings (esp. mic) haven't been erroneously toggled (autonomously).
    4. Reconfirm headset audio.

That typically gets said clanmates operational again.
