Please do not reply directly to this thread!
Hi everyone. After a couple of recent excitations between community members -involving myself, to be honest - I decided to deal with this problem in general.
Of course, if you don't agree with someone's reply, because of his oppinion, speech or whatever, consider it as normal to tell him. I don't need to quote the whole guidelines about the way you better not do it.
A more special case, which I haven't found covered by the guidelines, are more personal matters. In my oppinion it makes a difference if you have a singularic argument with someone or a problem with his behavior or personal weaknesses in general. Doing so in an open forum is not fair, I think, for this could cause a polarization resulting in a mobbing situation, all vs. one. That's why I ask you not to reply directly to this thread. Depending on your relation to the other person, sometimes it is better to contact him/her personally, as long as you do it in a respectful way.
Bunny, how about you? Asking the forum managers to interfere should remain reserved for utmost exceptions, I think, as it could be seen as a kind of accuse.
Thank you for your attention. I'm afraid that the present polarizing situation will still last for a while, so I hope this will help us to master it.
Best regards
iws

Hey iws!
Thank you for bringing this forward! I believe I have said this before, but to reiterate, as you said it is absolutely OK to disagree with someone else's opinion as long as it is done in a respectful way that encourages thoughtful discussion. However, personal attacks or criticisms against other community members or the dev team are never acceptable, whether done publicly on the forum or in direct messages. Forum managers reserve the right to interfere in cases where forum members are not following the rules.
