PlayStation 4 to 5 data transfer

I managed to get hold of a 5, and put the division 2 disc in the 5, I tried to do a data transfer from PS4 to 5, there was no division 2 to transfer out of the list , so the only way I can do this is to download the division 2 to the 5, it's showing 16 hours left to transfer, is this because all my previous game data is stored with ubisoft, just seems a unbelievable amount of time to transfer.

You mean you have to re-download the game? Indeed most of the files come from the server, and the disc itself basically functions as a key to get the download started.

Depending on your connection it can take a while, but 16 hours is quite a lot.

It's 112gb's. I transferred mine to a external SSD and that took ages.

Your game save data should be saved on Ubi cloud so nothing to transfer. I did nothing when I upgraded months ago. Hell I went back to div1 today and still have everything just like I did years ago
