I finally completed it!! But I changed my specialization weapon from grenade launcher to the sniper rifle one. Which worked out better

Well that was short lived. I completed it. went back to the white house then it talked about calibration of my weapons. Then Many talked about Black Tusk not completely finished. Then I went to the map it did a wierd glitch and I it says that to do roosevelt island tidal basin are locked. Is that normal? Cause I don't want to do it again!!!

Yes, now you're seeing the weekly rotation of invaded missions. 3 missions will randomly be invaded by black tusk, which in turn unlocks a stronghold that must be defeated before being able to play tidal basin again.

If you don't want to repeat missions, you're in the wrong game. Repeating content with new builds and events and on higher and higher difficulties is what this game is all about.

Well, you can still go to New York and do that story mission line. But afterwords you'll be out of things to do if you never want to repeat anything.

Ok. Thanks. I don't mind doing it again later. I just thought it was a glitch and it hadn't been saved. Thank you for explaining it to me. Just one more question, sorry to be a pain but I am enjoying this game, if go to New York now will I be able to go back and continue from the point I have reached now?

If you to NY at level 30 you can only return to DC when you've finished the WONY campaign so if you've things you want to do in DC before you go you're better off doing them before the trip to NY. If you're on xbox i have a lvl 30 char i havent done much with but at least have 1 build (i use to ruin peoples day in the dz) so can always help out in pve stuff if you need help.

I'd stay for any story/campaign missions etc you havent done but anything else such as the "invasion" stuff you'll see on tidal basin etc, that's there at 40 too. There's alot to do in NY as well, the hunters in particular take some decent time to do if that's your kinda thing.

If you're already WT5, then you can go to New York without missing or ruining anything. Once you're done with the WONY campaign and level 40, you can freely go back and forth to NY and DC all you want.

But for story context, I would at least do the Coney Island missions first. Everything else has zero context, so can be done in whatever order you want. Before or after NY doesn't matter.

The only time you'd miss out on anything is if you boosted a character before WT5, since that auto-completes a bunch of side missions and exploration. But since you already reached WT5, that won't happen. So yes, you can just pick up where you left off after you finish New York.
