Yes, you brought it up before and I'm not going there, because we probably have very different thinking on what "value for money" means.

But I see the draw for Ubi to make money... Just the other day I was reading about some idiots paying up to $3,000 real money for Gucci "digital hand bags" in some Roblox game.
Yet, I am to understand why we are getting "textiles" if there is no use for them...
I couldn't agree more. Back in the Fortnight days my son was asking for money to buy some special "clothes" or weapons skins, which I refused to do. I think digital cosmetics, while mildly amusing, is about the dumbest thing I could think of to spend money on. Maybe that's because I am an old guy?

Dunno, but if they threw something in I could blow the textiles on I am accumulating that would be "OK." Not real money, and barely worth the effort to "shop" as well, but it'd be OK.

I don't think it's an age thing. You are like that because you work for that real money and you don't want it wasted on dumb stuff. That's it.
When my kid is asking for silly, useless stuff, my reply is "Buy it with your own money." (he has some). Guess what? Suddenly, that silly thing is not worth it anymore.

As for the "apparel caches" and textiles, I can't even bring myself to spend time to open them. I wish there was a way to open them all in one shot.

Where did anyone claim it was good value for the consumer? The point is that the people who *do* buy these things help support the business case for continued content development.

I mean, plenty of people think computer games are "dumb stuff". Many people argue looter shooters are the dumbest of the dumb Ultimately, different people find different things entertaining. I'm not going to begrudge someone a little bit of joy so long as they don't go overboard.

It would be awesome if I could spend them on anything. For real. Choose a type of Gun, Vector Tac. Choose the final attribute, spend gold, boom. Use Textile for resources? I could always use more SHD resources for Opp-ing. Use them to buy mods? Turn them into credits? The choices are out there, but depends on them if they even want to do Jack with them.

3000 dollars for an in game item what an idiot - unfortunately there are lots of players who would do this - pretty soon all games will be free with in game purchases - its bad for gaming and players great for the producers. The most profitable games all have in game purchases. I have seen the ridiculous prices of the tanks and planes - people actually buy that stuff when you do your destroying gaming for everyone and who ever has the most money will be on top.

FYI - items from the Last Resort and Outguard events are rotating into the apparel pool:

I guess there is a bit of motivation to open up those crates now...
I have no clue what Last Resort or Outguard is, but I don't want to miss out on getting rid of my "textiles" (that's a very crappy name for in-game currency)

Now seems like a good time to open up chests though. I had some 40+ keys and started spending some yesterday. Got streak of 5 new items straight away. Of the 40+ apparel keys I got approx 30+ new items. Usually I'd get only textiles.
