    @ odb9008,

That's one of the two bugs that I reported to Ubisoft, gave them replication steps on how to find the root cause themselves, and provided them with a fix that they could investigate/implement in their code. Unfortunately it hasn't been added to the Known Issues List yet, nor are Ubisoft support personnel out here aware of it for some reason.

The workaround is to change your Mouse Polling Rate to 250mhz or lower. The game can't handle high polling rates for input devices, which is why you never see it on the PC when using a controller, but you do see it when using a decent mouse (or gaming mouse). If your mouse doesn't have the ability, feel free to let me know and I'll get you a link to a utility that will let you change the polling rate yourself (for any USB device).

Hi Jaga.Telesin! I checked on the ticket where you reported this, and see that your information and workaround was provided to the team investigating this issue. Can you let me know the exact model of your mouse? Also, when you changed the polling rate, does the game remain fixed, or do you have to make changes each time to enter the game? Lastly, does the change in polling rate make your movement 100% smooth, or just smoother in general? Thank you!

    Mouse make/model: Mad Cats R.A.T. 7
Windows drivers in use for Mouse: Microsoft (Installing older W8 Mad Catz drivers gives no difference in results)

Changing the polling rate (using a 3rd party tool - linked to in ticket) has a dynamic result. I can raise it over 250mhz at which point visual stuttering when moving the mouse gets worse the higher the polling rate. Lowering the polling rate improves the visual performance (less stuttering the lower it goes). At 250mhz the game is playable, but the mouse becomes more difficult to adjust for regular use in Windows. At 125mhz the visual performance of the game when moving the mouse is smooth as glass, but the mouse becomes literally unusable in Windows (far too slow a movement even with windows mouse speed cranked to max).

Changes (due to the way I have to make them with a 3rd party tool) need to be made to the machine at every reboot, and then reversed after closing the game (so I can get usual Windows mouse performance back). It is a serious pain in the arse.

At no time does the game "remember the changes" - it simply cannot handle input devices sending it data any faster than 125mhz without "dropping some of the data". This is common among anyone who has found the polling rate fix and used it to play the game (which is quite a few people, given what I know about gaming mice and their polling rates).

Another thing that causes the same type of stutter at the moment is some Windows 10 security updates. Specifically those after KB5000802 - so if you have stuttering and it's not this polling rate, it is most likely these Windows updates. If you revert back to KB5000802 the stutter disappears. I just keep pausing the updates for a month and keep waiting for one that doesn't cause these stutters.

Here's a link to an article that can help you get your mouse polling rate changed, even if it doesn't have a utility of it's own:

Ubisoft: Take note of another resolution using this workaround. It *should* have been another ticket in your Support system, but was solved because someone was able to use transfer of information (what you should be using is the Known Issues List to redirect people on it).

Additionally, it is another confirmation that this bug is real, and affects people to the point where the game is unplayable.

The number of mice out there with polling rates over 125mhz is HUGE - I'd get this bug to the top of the list and start working on it.
