    Still playing Path to Exile.......

    Few things i don't like:

    • Inventory space is small, really forces you to pick up things you deffo need.
    • Quest tracker/direction, or lack of but understandable if they want players to explore.
    • Some end bosses can be a real pain.

Some things i feel is a good touch:

    • If you die on a end boss fight you can come back and his health is pretty much the same so it's not a case of starting over again.
    • Loot system, complicated yes, reminds me of TD2 on release, requires certain amount of stats for gems to work.
    • Feeling tough with progression.

I could go on, there is a lot of things i don't like but the stuff i do like outweighs it.......But hey, who am i to complain....it's for FREE and i'm having fun again.

My suggestion is to wait for a sale on their QoL items in the cash shop. Larger stash space, specialized loot tabs, etc.

You really want to Google loot filters for Path of Exile. It will help you a lot with managing inventory out in the field. You really only want to be picking up stuff that's worthwhile.

Got no problem with the game inventory, just the charactor inventory.

One thing that confuses me, judging by the size of skill tree i would of thought they would of made it in a way that it can be reset, i know through the playthrough you can get some reset skill points and refunds but if any game needed more options to reset it's this one.........i would have less chance of getting lost in Milton Keynes roundabout system

Good shout for the google/inventory management, will give that a look today.

Loot filters cuts down on how much space gets taken up in your backpacks while out in the field. It's intentionally small. But outside of mapping(endgame activity) you can portal back to town an unlimited number of times as long as you have portal scrolls.

And for resetting your talent tree, you're supposed to carefully consider your build. There is a trade recipe for orbs of scouring, but it's likewise intentionally cost-intensive. This is why I said earlier on that you REALLY should use a pre-made build set up and planned out by the math-wizards. Otherwise you'll waste a LOT of hours backtracking and figuring things out. And it's REALLY REALLY not worth the headache.

Take it from someone who's been there and done that.

Huh. It must have been disliked if it's on sale now for less than the older Wildlands ($9 vs. $15). I'd gone for Wildlands, but Breakpoint is cheap enough that it seems worth taking a risk on the standard edition of that, too.

Well, it depends on what particular features you like of the games that are put in the "looter shooter" category. For me looting itself is not terribly interesting; what I like about Division 2 is building out loadouts from a wide variety of items. From that poitn of view, the loot mechanic is just a way of dribbling out the items over time.

Yeah, that would be nice. It's the one thing I miss in Division 2.

That "figuring things out" bit is one of the most enjoyable parts of games for me, though. I spend far more time in Division 2 mucking about with builds and experimenting than I do actually just running around and shooting things.

Division 2 is a child's sandbox compared to the ocean beach of POE.

So much so i'm on the brink of insanity, the game should come with a warning............

    Possible side effects:

    Loss of hair
    Memory loss
    Eye twitches
    Outburts of anger
    Frustration

    Still fun though

Well i be dammed, i think this is the first game ever where i have created a new class from scratch and started over again, got my Ranger upto 75 and completed the game, now i have created a Marauder.......

Only difference is i now have a lot more knowledge about the game.... but jeez this is one hell of an in depth game.

My Marauder is kicking some serious butt

Has a lot of potential, but I doubt the devs really care. It's good if you want to take a break from TD2 for a while, but don't expect to much from it. Balancing issues (both difficulty & economy), bugs, etc.

Though the "base" is good, but needs A LOT of work if they want to compete with TD tbh.

I have been looking for my next fix, something that compares to the quality of TD2.......I have tried the following:

    • Outriders: Doesn't even come close, was fun at first but that soon dwindled.
    • Warframe: Reminds me of Destiny and i hate that game.
    • Warhammer: Got bored after 1hr.
    • Torchlight: Out of pure desperation.

And many many more, and not one single game comes close to the quality of TD series.

So now i turn on my brand new Xbox Series X and nothing to do apart from join my sons in chat and stare at the Xbox home screen.

It really shows how good TD is if it can have that effect, i really wish i could find something new to do in TD so i can get back into it so i can feed my loot addiction.

I have looked at the forecast of games coming out soon and that also looks very grim.

Oh well, back to the homescreen and maybe a little more rifts in Diablo 3 (even my charactor on that is maxed god damm it)

Thank you for such an amazing game but no thank you for ruining my gaming experience

    Yours sincerely

    @Riflemania

I agree with the sentiment, this game has ruined gaming for me. I won't be saying it's cause the game is too good. Currently the future of games may be glum, I feel it will be getting better once companies get past the whole COVID setback. I have been revisiting game I haven't played in a while. Maybe you should check out the library and kick the dust off some of the really old games.
