The problem: I had to redownload the game as at launch it would only get 3 fps and gets stuck on the health warning screen. After fresh installation, the game boots perfectly and runs at a consistent 60 fps (I locked it there to limit hitching). However after about 5 minutes or so, the game crashes. The crash gives no code, just an option to send a crash report. It also crashes if I enter combat of any kind. Once this crash occurs, if I try to relaunch the game it returns to the 3 fps and is virtually un playable.

GPU: rx580
Ive had no issues with other ac games such as Valhalla and odyssey but for some reason this game just doesn't want to run. I've tried a few of the tips scattered around such as place compatibility to windows 8, run as admin, lock fps at 60 or 30, disable cloud synch, run in windowed, and setting CPU priority to normal (which it already was) and a ton of other things but nothings seemed to do the trick.
Not sure if its important but it is the steam version.
Any feedback helps. Thanks.

I appreciate the reply, I actually found a solution in one of the other threads. Basically what I had to do was download an old driver, specifically the amd 2019 adrenaline driver. With this driver installed and running the game as admin, it allows me to play with zero crashes, and no glitches what so ever.
Hopefully this helps someone else that has a similar issue in the future. cheers.
