SMGs have better DPS*Originally Posted by Adze. Go to original post
Though I do prefer the DtH of an AR, personally..
*Plus, on a Crit build, you can allocate more attributes to other helpful things since you have 21% CHC from the gun
Still love Lady Death and Chatterbox myself. The latter is probably the most powerful weapon in the game - if you utilize the talent correctly. It has to be reloaded within 15 meters of multiple enemies. The more there are the higher the RPM stacks - up to 5x. I have a Hunter build with the banshee pulse, will sneak up on a group and fire the pulse, which stuns all the NPCs just long enough to reload.
When done this way it scales to max RPM which calculates to 1,400 RPM, and will tear anything a new one. Plus for every kill you get half a mag back, so keep your trigger finger down and you can mow the entire crowd down.
Lady Death is crazy powerful too, but only for a particular play style. it's much more a "run-n-gun" since your stacks build only when you are on the move. So if you are constantly moving it's dang powerful too.
Among non-exotics I must be an oddball because I don't see my favorite listed here by anyone else: Cold Relations. If you get your build as close to the max CHC of 60% as is possible, the Perfect Strained talent raises your CHD by up to 80%, and it's incredibly powerful too.
Anyway, there's three to think about...
Try putting the Unwavering talent on a Vector and see how you like it.Originally Posted by Epsylium Go to original post
The +300% weapon handling gives you close to perfect acccuracy and stability and reloads are nearly instant. I use an ACOG scope to extend the effective range; most of my damage is done at middle ranges where I'd more usually use an assault rifle.) The 5 second duration refreshes with every kill, so it's easy to take out even a fairly large group of enemies very quickly, if you're set up right when you start.
This has almost totally replaced shotguns as a secondary because there's no longer any need for reloading. (The five-second cooldown after switching back to my primary isn't a big deal because I can be shooting with my primary during that time.)
