    Crashing to desktop

    So the problem I've got is that the game suddenly goes from full screen to windowed mode and crashes.This usually happens after couple hours of playing, sometimes I go 4-6 hours without a crash, sometimes just an hour.

    When the crash occurs, there aren't any cpu, gpu or ram usage spikes (temps are also good). I suspect it could be a memory leak issue as I have sometimes noticed weird behaviour of the map, and have had my character go down a rope, just to be sent back to top, as if the game was backtracked.

    Fixes I've tried:
    turning of any overlays;
    disabling all cpu and gpu overclocks;
    re-installing windows and every driver;
    verifying game files;
    changing/disabling page file;
    changing easy anti cheats core affinity;
    using Intelligent standby list cleaner;
    and lastly, creating a .bat file that also changes the core allication for easy anti cheat.

    My pc specs:
    Ryzen 7 3700x
    GTX 1080
    16gb ram
    MSI B450 bazooka max wifi MB.
    game is installed on a ssd.

    I have tried DX11, but the game becomes unplayable, so I'm sticking with DX12.
    Hope there's maybe a fix that I haven't heard about and I can finally play without expecting a crash at any minute.

    I think this may be related to renderer calls from the TD2 engine (i.e. graphic functions of a particular type). I don't think it is related to RAM usage - my machine has ~30GB of available RAM at runtime, and I've seen this exact windowed-mode-crash just a few minutes after starting the game up.

    Hopefully they've been able to transition a specialist to dig into all the crashing people are having with the game. This one in particular I see most often.

    It also seems that after the game crashes once, it starts to crash more often. Like just now I had my first crash in 2-3 hours and after relaunching the game it crashed in 5 minutes.
