I see a lot of comments on YouTube and some on here saying that the raids are to hard.
What makes it so hard then?
I really don't understand the comments.
Yes, there should be some guides in the raids.
But because of the world's first they let people figure it out themselfs.
After that, they should've put in a guide per section.
BUT... everything is on YouTube.
Guides for what to do and how to do it.
Guides for what build to use and how to use it.
What did people think was gonna happen.
Everyone use skill builds and hide again?
Like they all do in normal missions??
(Only IH boss 1 you can all use skill builds)
Raids are very nice from my point of view.
You actually have to do something to get it done.
And they don't even have hard mechanics...
In DH it's:
Boss 1. ABCD hold button, shoot bag, shoot head.
Boss 2. Wait for orange smoke then shoot.
Boss 3. Stop shooting Buddy or shoot Buddy.
Boss 4. 321 roll, crossbow, grenade, Boomer on 1,2,3,4.
In IH it's:
Boss 1. All on the boss, kill the adds.
Boss 2. Call out M/R/P/C/45, call out the picture, shoot the picture that is called out, shoot rockets, do the water pressure, spray water on lava.
Boss 3. yellow/red/blue buttons, pacman's, alphabet, all on boss (shoulder height).
Boss 4. Get key to shoot the train wagons, shoot rockets on the bomb, shoot rockets on the wagons, sniper left/right, shoot the boss.
Teamwork
Communication
That's it
Really the only bad thing about the raids is, that there is no matchmaking on normal.
Change my mind.
Over the last few months, I've got our clan to do Dark Hours and I'm currently ramping up our clan on Iron Horse. I spent 6 hours one day on Iron Horse, 4 of those hours on boss 2 and we gave up at boss 3. I've also done Iron Horse in under an hour other times. Same for Dark Hours.
Saying the raids are hard is just a generalization. They are easy if you have 8 players who have the right builds, know what they need to do and can execute it. They are a struggle if you have 8 players that don't have the right builds, don't know what to do and don't follow instructions. The former case can get either raid done in under an hour, the latter case can take hours and hours and probably still won't get through it.
Just this weekend, I spent 6 hours trying to get a group of 8 through Iron Horse discovery mode and we still didn't get past Morosova. On the other hand, I did 2 normal runs of Dark Hours and 1 normal run of Iron Horse in under three hours on Friday night.
There are plenty of players that don't want to put in the effort to watch guides and assemble the needed builds. They think they can just figure it out as they go or they want to be carried. If you team up with 7 of them, then it's hard and a struggle.
The raids are VERY different, and I enjoy each of them for different reasons. I LOVE the fact that they are 8 person groups, as doing things in a large group just feels amazing compared to the normal 4 man groups. I could see an option for any future raid content to be 8 or 4 man option though based on community feedback. The build diversity and completed tasks needed for IH makes it a true raid like experience, compared to DH which is mostly just a DPS check with some very light mechanics. I enjoy both, but never really want to do IH now that I have around 65 clears on it or so. DH we still try to get together and run once a month or so.

If you're on XB and need an extra gun to help out, let me know as I would be happy to lend a hand if needed. I have a sub 17 minute DH time, and can do almost any role in IH (there's still a few I've never done).
They don't say it's hard, they say it's too hard.
And indeed if you have a team that knows what to do it's a whole lot easier.
I think you only need 4 people that really know what to do.
The rest just gets a job to do.
Shoot this if, push that when.
But like you said if they don't bother to watch a guide video, then they are not gonna complete it unless they get carried.
Also...
Instead of going on YouTube for raid guides.
They go on YouTube to complain that they don't know what to do, because there are no guides in the raids.
Plus raids are for players that already geared up.
It's not there for players to gear up.
So players without the right builds shouldn't even try it yet.
On this note, if any one looking for a raid guide for IH stumbles upon this thread, I really want to give a shoutout to twich streamer InigoMontoya for the best (to date) IH walk through videos in my opinion.Originally Posted by DutchLMB4ever Go to original post
