    look at the list of all major and minor attributes on the upper left hand side, on both screenshots they say zero for skill tiers.

    This. In fact, the only one of the two examples to potentially have as much as one skill tier is the first, under the conditions that the pistol is: (1) the TDI "Kard" Custom and not the Kard 45, and (2) drawn (not holstered).

    I've touched up the photo in question to maybe make it a little more clear what's going on here.

    The "Skill Tier" section on the stats screen shows 6 empty bars. As you equip more skill tier, the bars highlight in white instead of grey. All the "thousands" of posts on reddit and youtube are not showing 6 skill tiers, but just a placeholder for ZERO skill tiers.

    In the image on the right, you can see how with 4 skill tiers equipped, 4 bars are highlighted, but 2 are greyed out.

    The only way around this is with temporary skill tiers from something like the talent: Future Perfect. It's possible the players in question are taking screenshots while Future Perfect is in effect. But I doubt that would account for "thousands" of such shots. It's more likely a basic misunderstanding of what the skill tier icons on the character sheet represents.

    yea it was those bars that were misleading.

    basically that grey kinda feels a white bar on most screenshot (due to how the UI is designed)

    So thank you for your effort.

    No worries! I've got a thousand or so hours in the game, and I still learn new stuff almost every day. I just found out you can sell stuff to Inaya a couple days ago, for example.

    No big deal. It's simply a lack of familiarity with how the information is displayed.

    Yeah, it's very convenient when you're in the crafting area. I have all my items favorited. That way, any newly acquired items (ie. looting, crafting, etc.) are immediately segregated when interacting with a vendor, and you can process them much more efficiently than scrolling through your entire inventory, searching for the 'new item' notifications.
