    Odyssey crashes on the opening screen

    So recently I've not been able to even get into the main menu for Odyssey. Every time I load up the game, it gets to the screen where it says "Press A to start" And the moment I press A, the game crashes to my dashboard.

    So far I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling it, hard resetting the console, and deleting all the local save data, but nothing's worked. Not really sure what else to try at this point tbh.
    Anyone else have this problem?

    Update: I tried opening it without any save data synced again and this time it worked. I think the problem is something's up with the save data because it's from the cloud. I can't do anything when it's synced, but when it isn't I can play but I'll need to start a new game. But that really wouldn't be ideal because I'm just about to finish start the last episode of Atlantis and then I'd have 100% finished the game

    Depending on the platform you play on (Xbox One or the New Series), if it happens to be Xbox One, doing the following steps should also help you to resolve this going forward (if you wish to try still using your saved data).

    So I've tried all the steps suggested, other than using another system as I don't actually have access to another Xbox One to try and use. Sadly however I'm still experiencing the same problem and nothing changed

    Hey Edgytungle, thanks for trying the steps from the article Ubi-Karl sent across - really unfortunate that they haven't worked.

    Since it does seem to be an issue with your synced save data, it could be a good idea to reach out to Xbox support, to see if they are able to check for issues with the synced data from their end. I can certainly understand that restarting so late in the game would be very frustrating, so I hope they are able to find a solution for you.
