There are a LOT of things this game could, and should have done. If you ever see me being salty about the devs, it's probably not because of direct bugs or whatever, but because of the squandered potential. All of the things the game shoulf have had, but didn't get because too much time was spent correcting stupid decisions and shoddy design.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Yes the one attribute limit definitely puts a damper on things. What I do Is try to speed up the process by farming for better gear & or materials. I have three players, well actually 4 but usually I only play with 2. All three do the weekly SHD requisition cache, which is just donating water, food, metals etc. For little effort its worth doing. The trick or problem with optimization is having a decent piece to start with. That is where the weekly SHD & farming for materials pays off. It takes time but usually less.Virtual-Chris
The problem is, the gear I'm using to assemble my build allows me to change one attribute. So I maybe recalibrate that attribute every few sessions when a piece of gear drops with a better roll. Optimization seems like a waste of time... it's not worth my time for 0.1% and where I'm short on that, is stuff from deconstructing gear, not resources found in the world. Right? What am I not doing that I should?
If your Ok at a slower progression, just do that. If you want speed things up though the weekly & farming for resources/materials is a good start. Like the Solar farm, I just go out & loot, usually I don't bother them & they let me roam to an extent. Areas near by shoot outs are common but its all part of knowing your surroundings. Sometimes I like to get in their face & sometimes not. Understanding my surroundings is immersive enough for me.
Yeah, that gives you added x-ray vision to detect loot boxes through obstacles and walls. What I'm talking about is removal of the orange glow from things in plain sight. Most Ubisoft open-world games use some technique to highlight loot... whether it's flashing or highlighted like this. But most Ubisoft games also allow you to turn that off.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
Well, "of course" for you. There's nothing wrong with playing only one build, but the game was designed with the ability to have lots of different builds as a core mechanic, and (from what I've seen on the forums) a significant number of players rather like that and take advantage of it.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
In my first playthrough I had two or three different builds before level 20, of course.
(This is also why you're running into issues with "lack of blueprints" for specific weapons: the game offers a solution to that issue, but you don't want to use it.)

Yes, and no.Originally Posted by CategoryTheory Go to original post
While there are a lot of blueprints available for just about everything, you don't gain access to them until you can start doing level 3 control points or daily/weekly projects. Which doesn't help you at all while you're leveling or still gearing up and don't yet have the power or skill to run CP3s/Challenging.
Added to that is that there's no way to target specific blueprints. You have to just grind those CP3s until you get the one you want. And the pool of BPs is pretty huge.
