    Game crash on hardcore mode

So, i am really starting to get fed up with this.
In the past few days as of the writing of this post (around friday/05/2021), whenever i play Hardcore mode (Level 40 watch level 51), and do any activity at all, right after i am done with the activity, the game instantly goes back to windowed mode and back to the first safety message we get when we launch the game and it freezes and i have to use Task Manager to close it completely.
I tried joining people and people joining me and playing solo = same results.

Weird thing is, this only happened 1 time on my Softcore character but it stopped happening and i even yesterday could play for 3 hours on my Softcore without any issues at all.

So far, thankfully all the crashes have been when im done with an activity and no enemies are around, so i get to keep my character when i start the game again.

I really don't want to lose this whole progress that i've made, as i'm getting close to have my raid-build ready.

    Anyone else experiencing something similar?
I have not changed any setting at all for the past 2-4 weeks to think it might be the cause of this issue.
I do not get any similar crashes with any other game.

    Any potential fix for this?

Here are some of my PC specs and connection speed:

    CPU: i7 3770
    GPU : Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB
    16GB RAM @ 1333hz
    1TB Samsung EVO 860 SSD

    Connection:
400Mbit Down and 22Mbit up with a stable 8 ping to the nearest server.
I live in Germany, if that helps anything.

Exactly the same thing for me. But even in DZ.
Whenever our PM comes on TV we get afraid he will wreck our lives even more. It's a bad Juju.
Same thing with Ubi. Whenever they take the server down for maintenance we go Uh Oh. The majority of us experience crashes It is continuous now

Hey folks! I'm sorry you are both experiencing this. In terms of more frequent crashes during HC mode after the latest update, we have made the developers aware and they are investigating. In the meantime, please run through this FAQ to ensure there's nothing else causing this crash as well.

If we require more information for our investigation, we will let you guys know. Losing HC characters due to a crash is possible, so it may be a little risky to play as them while this is being looked into. Your patience is really appreciated!

It is my understanding that you just closed a tread with crash for HC chars, due to it being to old. Ie last year.

Please confirm that this issue have not been resolved , even if it is nearly a year old.

For some weird reason, i have been playing for the most part without issues when i joined other people or people joining me, since i made my post.
If i go solo, though? almost guaranteed to crash.

Yes, this happens ALL OF THE TIME in Hardcore.
I have been playing Hardcore a lot the last 2 months, and I have a group of at least 20 friends that I play with regularly.
Several of us have lost our characters due to the game crashing. I lost my one of my characters 2 or 3 days ago when I was helping a couple of friends level up.
I was standing in front of Air & Space waiting for my buddies to travel to me. I had NO aggro from NPC's. My game crashed. My friends tried to travel to me. One of them said - "You are dead." I started the game back up, and my Hardcore character was in fact dead.
I have seen this happen SO MANY times in HC mode.
One time, we were in the DH raid in Hardcore and one team-mate crashed in the middle of the Boomer fight. So the rest of us got into cover, pressed escape, and clicked "leave raid." Two people lost their characters doing this. The guy that crashed did NOT die, but two of the guys that left the raid did die...it boggles the mind.
I have also helped SO MANY people live through a crash, so I know what happens in a crash. Even if your character is in cover - when you crash, your character stands up and takes damage. The rest of us have to throw our hives on the crashed player and try to get in front of them (as a tank), or take aggro (as a DPS). We have no idea why, but a crash seems to give you increased aggro from NPCs.
The WORST scenario I know of, is my friend that died IN THE WHITE HOUSE. He had just collected the clan cache in the clan room of the White House. He got an important phone-call, and left his character idle. He came back 30 minutes later to his character selection screen saying his HC character was dead.

    THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE UBISOFT!!!!
Stop using the excuse that "Hardcore is in Beta."
If you just FIXED YOUR GAME, these problems would not exist.

Dear Ubisoft. There are so many instances/complaints re crash/freezing that I am sure if you were able to do something about them, then you would have by now.

You boast that The Division 2 is a global game. Well, it's not. I am based in UK. If I group up with non EU players and find myself on (for instance) a USA server, then the connection is not stable. Network status shows Amber at best. Not that a linking to an EU server is any guarantee of a crash-free game. Yesterday I froze in Manning National Zoo without any warning. Server status was Green; no packet loss, optimum send/receive and then wham! For me this happens on both Hard Core and Soft Core. The game freezes and I have to use task-manager to close it.

So much for that. I have been playing the Division and Division 2 since inception. It is getting worse, not better. And instead of sorting out current problems and getting Hard Core out of Beta you are introducing new content. I see Heartland will be free to play. Is this because Ubisoft know they will have difficulty getting the current player base to fork out any more money?

My gut feeling is that Ubisoft either can't or won't or has no intention of getting to the bottom of all the different crash/freezing issues that Division 2 continues to have. Fine. These things are elusive, we all understand that.

In the meantime, how about a workaround? In Soft Core a crash is an annoyance, especially in Legendary. In Hard Core it is often fatal. You are talking about losing weeks-worth of grinding through no fault of your own. Are you surprised that people get upset? So, is it within your developers capabilities to fix it so that ANY type of crash: freeze, crash-to-desktop, delta, power outage etc will not kill a Hard Core character? Perhaps you could introduce manual/automatic save points that players could revert to in the event of a crash? Yes, we would lose some stuff, but not every thing we have worked for. Many games (Assassins' Creed for example) allow for manual saving, so I'm guessing it wouldn't be too difficult to set up. Yes, it is not 'pure' but then Hard Core IS Beta isn't it. Once the crashing/freezing problems have been resolved and Hard Core is Alpha then the workaround could be removed.
