    Technician Missile Launcher.

Only been playing this specialization for a short while, but I've noticed that the seeking on the missiles leads them to slam into whatever cover your target is hiding behind nine times out of ten, and because of the slow missile speed, you can't really aim at them while they're peeking.

The Survivalist's crossbow has fast projectiles to snipe dudes while they peek. The Demo's grenade launcher can be aimed behind cover.
The technician has a slow-moving projectile that cannot be manually aimed and will waste itself against any waist-high wall that the enemy might crouch behind.

What does the Technician have to make his special weapon as effective on cowards who hide behind fences?

Suggestion: Make the explosion force any enemy nearby to stagger up out of cover. That way you can just fire two missiles. The first will flush the enemy out of cover and the second will actually hit them and do damage.

Alternative suggestion: Just make the explosions penetrate cover, even if only for half damage.

You mean the lock-on process, or the projectile speed?
Honestly, since the missiles seem to track to the target's centre mass, it feels like even if they shoot faster, they'll still hit cover. I'd rather give them a bit of an aoe. Partial-damage to enemies within the aoe who aren't directly hit, and knockback would be my ideal solution.

I think it's mainly supposed to be used against warhounds & minitanks (and possibly heavies), as it will frequently miss normal enemies even when they're just walking around in the open. Definitely feels the most useless of the specialisation weapons to me (although tbf I rarely use any of the others either).

True, but even if they nerfed it so you could only pick up people that are down not unconscious and no more healing.
It would be better then all the special guns.

Now we have Special weapons that are UP.
I mean I rather use the nemesis then that sniper.
Bomber turret instead of grenade launcher.
I only use the crossbow in DH because I have to.
Mini gun is empty after you blink once.
    Missiles are too slow
Flame thrower is fun but I rather keep using the Scorpio.

I (still) use recovery link when everyone is down and separated. Or just as a heal for everyone.
Tech link to kill bosses or rushers.
Survivor link for incursions or move faster in the open world.
    All 3 in pvp.
I use all 3 of them everytime i play and multiple times.

What do you think of the special weapons in general?

You only need to make a simple change:
Specialized weapons can use the talents of the currently used weapon (10 seconds duration, 90 seconds cooling time)

Even if it is an exotic weapon: the king of bullets, let the rockets and ammunition be unlimited in a short time.

    Players will be very happy.

    Relentless crossbow.
    Flame Launcher Scorpio.
    Plague MINI machine gun.
    Nemesis specializes in sniper.
