How long has it been since we heard from Devs their current players count?

I've been noticing that matchmaking keeps taking longer every month that passes by and if I find a match a few of them would be people who I have encountered earlier and remembered throughout the month/s? Last time I remember we only had the numbers revealed after it was free on EGS and then we went silent.
Also judging by these numbers done by another player I'm not just imagining that game is slowly dying since last year(CCU, content, and all that).

white knights will tell you that the player base is quite healthy and theres millions of active players, the truth is i havent got to play the current event a single time, one time, during saturday, i let the matchmaking waiting for 20 minutes, thats when i understood that this game is fuck3d

The lower count is to be expected. The game is pretty old at this point. The numbers we have are pretty good considering not only the age of the game but also how drastically niche it is compared to other fighters. I'd say FH fell into it's comfy space numbers wise probably about half a year ago or so. Most people who play at this point are likely not going to stop playing. The numbers will of course fluctuate depending on hero release and big balance passes drop.

Personally i'm not worried about population. As long as we've got enough support for tournaments I think we're fine. Xbox (my primary platform as I do not pc anymore,) has the smallest population between PS and pc. And I still find matches with duels and dominion in under 5 minutes generally. We could be worse off. Try playing Titan fall 2 on any given day outside of this current period. That's a beloved game that's actually dead.

I think the same, for a fighter FH is healthy even with this slow decline, surely it will be better the better the balance is and with the new heroes coming. I think the last step is just more marketing and to convert it to a free game ala modern shooters.

dominion in pc is crowded, but the other modes except duels, are dead.

Xbox you can play tribute and breach if you can wait 5-10 min.
