You expect too much from Ubisoft, they already forgot they even planned updates for this gameOriginally Posted by Sandilands85 Go to original post
True, but this is exactly what their marketing team should have been all over between March and June to start building some kind of hype for the next TU they wouldn’t even need to release any specific details just vague references that could at least keep the fanbase engaged.Originally Posted by raptor2-40delta Go to original post
But this is part of the overall problem and I’ve been saying this for months now I think Ubi Paris’s biggest problem with breakpoint is their marketing team if their not misleading us then they’re not saying anything at all usually, and then gagging anyone who could actually bridge the gap between the community and the studio.
They’re under some misguided idea or belief that less is more when it comes to info and communication, and are either too arrogant or incompetent to admit that their current marketing strategy for this game is STILL A COMPLETE FAILURE that is only serving to further alienate what little fanbase there is left.
What harm would it have done to the game as a whole to release little bits of new info every week until Ubi Forward and then hitting us with a decent trailer (let’s face it that probably all we’re getting there anyway) he’ll they could have even used it as a sneaky marketing ploy for the next game where they tease 3 or 4 possible options for a specific game mechanic. Knowing their already releasing one but then seeing what the community would ideally prefer.
But alas we all know that things will probably never change at Ubisoft now and they will continue to erode and water down these iconic game titles until they are either completely unrecognisable or Dead
Yeah...I’ve been wanting to make detailed constructive criticism videos and forum posts here for like the past year or so, but I feel like it wouldn’t accomplish anything and would be a waste of my time.
I want to be a good fan, I want to see this franchise do well, but it’s just like...why? Would anybody care? I dunno.
It always like this until one self-publishing game studio acquires one such IP which Ubisoft is holding.Originally Posted by Sandilands85 Go to original post
Seen what I saw, it's unlikely that happen.
I really like the idea that the few times Ubisoft thought about following community suggestion they follow these.Originally Posted by FCacGRdvWD Go to original post
There's a good chance some of the devs left. Either left to work on projects or perhaps join another game outside of Ubisoft with a good deal. Let's be honest. Breakpoint isn't bringing in a lot of revenue. No way 1000 devs going to stay for that. They probably trying to higher some devs to help finish the update. They can be good or bad.
I know it's hard finding developers cause I check sometimes and companies have the same position needed for months. Ubi Paris could be going through that. I wouldn't be surprise they patch up the A.i. then cancel the following updates after careful consideration as an excuse. In the meantime Ubi not going to go all out for this game. Imo it's done. I'm fine with it since I have other games to play. E3 will have a ton of new games and maybe Ubisoft forward at the time will show BP. Just like someone said earlier. No reason to care or keep asking when Ubi doesn't care about communication.
