Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to entirely erase my account progress.
I created a new character but it had all the cosmetics, blueprints already unlocked (a ton because I have 300 hours from when the game launched). Regular game currency, phoenix credits etc. are also shared with any new character I made, which i don't want.
I want an entire fresh start without having to create a new account and purchase the game again.
Especially since it's not on sale and it costs 50€ with the season pass.
Easiest way i know of is to use a different ID on your console, if you are in fact on console but i imagine its the same for PC. Even if you deleted the game entirely from your system, i think if you redownloaded it within the same user ID then your credits/cosmetics/etc will still be there as im pretty sure those are tied to your ID online as opposed to just a file on your system. If you create an alternate ID on your system, you wont have to repurchase or even redownload the game, just fire it up and get to killing!
I don't know of a way to do as you describe. Perhaps Ubi support has a way to reset it.
I got a 2nd copy for $9.99 USD about 2.5 years ago, and then another copy for free last year so I have played it through now on more than 12 characters across 3 accounts. I'm over 4k hours in the game.
Honestly though, I am not sure what one would gain from resetting your progress more than what a new character would do. Many of the achievements take way longer than they should to attain already. One can re-do them even if you have already received the commendation (i.e. no reason not to try to run the legendary missions flawlessly again). Buying blueprints isn't really that interesting. If you want no money or phoenix credits, just waste them on buying junk.
Personally, I wish the opposite. That this game had a "New Game Plus" mode where you didn't have to find all the echos, phones, etc. I think it'd be a lot of fun to start over at the beginning, with your level 30 gear, and play through again with scaled enemies.
def not a new ubisoft ID. A new user: for instance, you go to log into your computer for the first time of the day and it pops up your username. EX: TrapWHRE23 and then you enter your password, assuming you use a password. You need to go into the settings on your PC and set up a new user. Control Panel/Users/User Management and then add a new user. Now log off your computer and then log into the new id you just created. Now, the game is still installed but it will be a new instance as you have never used this ID before.
Now im assuming this will work on PC but im not sure as im not privy to how the ubisoft account functions on PC. This works on console but again, i cant vouch if a new user on a pc acts the same way so hopefully one of the stalwarts of this forum will chime in to confirm or deny.
EDIT@!!!!! ok, ok. The more i think about it, I could just be Full of chit. Its been so long since i had done it but the more i think about it, i do think i still had my credits and stuff when i did this as i am remembering being able to buy anything i wanted so it was easy to just buy gear that was with my current level when i was replaying the game from the start. Sorry to lead you astray.
