    Failed to launch; BattleEye 5

    BattleEye is acting up again. Code 4 and 5 after file integrity check.
    And code 5 driver fail.

    This is really starting to get annoying.

    No changes were made to PC, no new software was installed.

    If you are encountering errors related to BattlEye while launching your game, please complete all of the steps from the Basic PC Troubleshooting FAQ

    Please ensure your firewall/security software does not restrict internet access and BEService.exe as well

    If after doing so you're still experiencing issues I'd then recommend opening a support case. You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

    After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:

    MSInfo
    DxDiag

    Previous Nvidia driver (466.11) was bad and corrupted. Caused a lot of issues, including with BattleEye.

    Completely remove and clean install of the latest (466.27) solved the issue.

    09:59:11: Failed to install BattlEye Service (4, 5).

    Hey there,

    Sorry to hear it's cropped up again!

    To try and hopefully resolve it, could you please try reinstalling BattlEye

    You should be able to remove it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye and deleting it's file

    When you next launch The Crew 2, you will be prompted and it will reinstall the BattlEye service

    Hopefully that will then allow you to launch into the game as normal

    Removing and re-installing BattlEye seems to have fixed it.
    At least for now.

    It is a necessary evil, i presume. Lots of issues around the web with BattlEye.
