Idea for how to get community feedback on a future hero’s move set before release

So almost everyone in the For Honor community think that a hero is usually “broken” when they first get released(I only felt like that one time ever) and usually never receive a nerf until awhile after they get released. I was think that they could make event modes where people can play as a “placeholder hero” (probably Warden since he already gets used as a placeholder) that is using the most basic version of the next hero’s weapon and their move set, but they can’t customize anything since it’s only for testing purposes. This would allow the community test the newer heroes out and give feedback to Ubisoft before the hero gets released. This would likely be able to speed up the progress of making new heroes since the community will help the part of the dev team that is working on the move set while the rest of the dev team works on the models and such.

Let me know what you all think and feel free to try and improve upon this.

Interesting idea, I think it would be good one. The only problem I see would be that it could be a spoiler (to some extent) for the new character. For example, by seeing the weapon and moveset, you’d be able to at least figure out what faction and class they will probably belong to.

They could give an existing hero or a dummy model the new hero's moveset to minimise spoilers.

Night_Fury147, well not all of the time because Gryphon basically has stuff from all factions so you wouldn’t be able to tell.

True. However the way I see it is that they just reused/copied existing characters’ move sets because of developmental issues regarding covid (I could be wrong). But in terms of the lore, he’s a mercenary, so he would have traveled and learned different techniques from the different factions and acquired some of their armor.

Either way this could help Ubisoft get the new heroes out sooner so that people can get them quicker. It’s especially needed now since they’re working really slow now.
