Well.... looks like my gaming days are done.

Playstation permanently banned my account yesterday for "vulgar language" that violated TOS.

I lost all access to my MrGrippz account which includes all my chars.

6 rep 70s [Warlord, JJ, Zerk, Cent, Glad & Zhanhu] as well as all my other chars... all gone.

Glad & Zhanhu were both top chars on the FH tracker for Playstation.

I cant bring myself to start a new account & at this point in my life, its time to spend the time i alotted for gaming on more fruitful IRL stuff.

Much love to Ubisoft for designing one of my favorite games ever. I got my first game system the original NES in 1993 & have gamed consistently since then. For Honor has been my favorite fighting game of all time. I put around 200 days into the game & I believe I ended up at rep 635 overall.

Much love to every player on the battlefield flexing their skills & fighting for glory, reps & steel. Try to enjoy as much as you can & limit what frustrates you. Continue to help guide the developers to make FH awesome & help it improve.

Its been a [mostly] fun 5 years of combat with & against all my PS players on FH. Thanks for all the great gaming memories.

This will be my last forum post as far as I can foresee. If anyone cares to keep up with me i will be back to focusing on my music which I have been doing since 2001.

Holy crap..... PLAYSTATION REVERSED THE DECISION!

A voicechat i was in got reported but 2 of my friends were arguing & i was trying to de-escalate & diffuse the argument but i used curse words so i caught the initial ban.

After i spent like 2hrs online talking to PSN tech support & filing appeals. Thank the LORD the appeal was granted & my account was restored.

I reeeeaaally didnt want to give up gaming. Im so happy. FOR HONORRRRRRRR!!!

So we get a party of 8 going... we pick 2 team captains & they take turns picking ppl for their team until we have 2 teams of 4. Then we countdown & search for matchmaking at the same time in a low activity game mode [usually skirmish]. Then we fight it out like an online custom getting exp & steel.

One person was doing very well & bragging in the voice party, rubbing in the wins. Someone on the losing team had enough & when it got quiet he blurted out "why dont you just shut the F up" which caused a big fight between those two. I chimed in to try to settle things down & tell them both to cool off, but they kept going, so we just ended the match & everyone left the voice party.

I left my house & came home a couple hours later. When i turned on my PS4 i was signed out & when i tried to sign in, it gave me a message that my account was permanently suspended due to TOS violations.

I spent several hours calling Playstation support numbers & searching online for solutions. Finally i found an appeals form that was for "debt" but i used it to explain the situation. All the tech support ppl i spoke to on the phone & online chats told me all TOS violations are handled by a moderation team & are FINAL. I had given up hope.

I said my goodbyes to all my online friends & told them similar to my first post here, I guess this is the end of my gaming because I would not be starting all over on all my games with a new account. I had fallen back to the mental notion that my PS4 Pro was now a glorified DVD player & streaming video machine. I told them I would pop into parties just to say hi & chill but I was done with gaming.

Less than 24hrs later while I was at work I got an email from Playstation that my appeal was granted & my MrGrippz account was reactivated.

Im 631 total reps though lol I had guessed in my first post. Soooooo happy to have my account back & to continue gaming. I have to watch my language though as I do use a lot of curse words, which count as TOS violations under "vulgar language".

I dont know how this is a thing when games rated "M" have curse words in them, but whatever.

Does sony listen in to voice chats and just ban people who swear a lot? If so, I'm happy I stick with Xbox. You can swear all you want in voice chat. The only way to get any penalty is if someone records you and even then, you will likely only get a 2 day communications ban (if it's your first in a while).

No. With PS5 you can report from voice chat which will send up to 5min of audio to a Sony Safety team of moderators who determine if you violated TOS. I read the TOS & it is worded as "vulgar language" which to me is drastically vague in definition.

I will definitely say, past suspensions for a couple days & a week, i definitely deserved as i sent very aggressive messages after being cheesed. It was a brutal day at work & i felt like sh1t so i tried to game on FH to have fun & ppl cheesed & emote spammed me to hell lol; so i sent salty a$s msgs.

But this time... this time i was innocent! I swear lol. Since my last suspension i have sent ZERO salt messages [even ones free of cursing]. FH can get under your skin especially fighting meta players that just abuse cheesy mechanics, but ive definitely put a lot more mental effort into just letting it go & moving onto a different match.
