Hey guys! I just had my first.... Well, I'm not sure what to call it. Maybe someone can tell me what its called.
So you are familiar with the hang... the hang where you have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to get to the screen where you start Task Manager to KILL Division 2, right??!
Well, I tried to start Task Manager and it started... But I could not ALT-TAB into Task Manager... Alll I got was the Frozen Division 2 screen with the background music playing.
I finally, after a couple of minutes, did a quick hit on the power button to SLEEP the computer... sometimes when you restart from sleep, it helps. It didn't. Eventually, I did CTRL-ALT-DELETE and logged into my Admin account. Then I was able to do a reboot.
WOW! Talk about thrilling, By-the-skin-of-your-teeth excitement! I couldn't wait until the system rebooted! YAAAAA!!!!
Thanks - somehow that setting got toggled off. It used to be on.Originally Posted by DizConnected Go to original post
This is one that I captured a few days back that I have never seen before or since...whilst running up the street from the Theater to the control point I suddenly found myself only able to walk...no running...no sprinting...and a big invisible wall in front and behind of me.
A complete lack of NPC's around the control point (although I did see the officers marker) and as to what was going on in the building opposite the control point I have no idea...I could escape to the main menu but couldn't leave the game at all and required a PC reboot.
If you look at about 35 seconds, you can see inside of the bank -- well, I'm callling it a bank, you see the background isn't imaging. definitely looks like a corrupted game. This is essentially what I think is the problem. I don't think you or I have a problem. I think the problem is with the servers, not with our PCs.Originally Posted by Enola_Mai Go to original post
I had the exact same situation occur for me -- for the first time, ever -- yesterday.Originally Posted by Talks1cShock Go to original post
I also use Win10's built-in Virtual Desktop when it hangs like this. Ctrl+WinKey+Right Arrow takes me to a clear desktop where I can kill all the background tasks.Originally Posted by DizConnected Go to original post
Pretty sad that we are actually having this conversation, no?
