Hello all.
Shaman & peacekeeper is not my main character but i love shaman gameplay. She is too funny.
Unfortunately there is no any win change against to Highlander as shaman if enemy rep hi. (i'm talking about 100+ total rep / 10+ highlander rep)
I have few questions:
1- After first light hit of highlander's, all attacks now hyper armored include light attacks and can't be interrupted & unblockable. so you can parry or block all attacks but there is no any reaction time sample: L1+L1+R2 . Therefore you can't attack to highlander because you have only 1 mission, block all attacks without dodge. That's why i'm died everytime against to highlander.
2- a) Dodge don't working as shaman / all light attacks interrupt shaman's / Light hit don't working reason of superior block. Almost all heavy attacks %90 blocked with superior block.
3- Highlander can interrupt all attacks from shaman or peacekeeper wiyh only L1+L1+R2
4-Generally problem : you may spam with L1+L1+R2 from same direction after first hit if hit can't blocked. There is no any escape chance as shaman.
5- only with L1+L1 + sidebanshee , everytime i'm died. no reaction time for light spams + hyper armored / and all attacks can interrupt all shaman attacks
(ps: sorry for my english)
Advice please ?![]()
My Shaman is rank 8.
If your question is how to fight against Highlander (HL): you have a few options.
If you get too caught up with trying to use a calculated approach to fighting hard to attack characters like HL, you’ll get really frustrated when these counter attacks fail and lose. (Seems that’s what’s been happening to you lately).
I normally will take a dodge back, wait for him to make the first move, and then either dodge it and strike, or parry it and strike.
If HL hits you first and starts as what seems to be his cyclone of rapid uninterrupted attacks, you need to take a dodge back, do a heavy and feint it into a quick blood trace light, and get him worried about being tackled and then guard break him for a easy combo.
Doing a head butt in HL can break up his pace and give you time to assess the situation as well.
Practice more on doing heavy cancels and mix ups.
I try to see patterns in how my opponent plays and then adapt to the openings I see for an attack.
Basically just be unpredictable. Once HL sees you doing the same moves, he’s gonna start wailing on you and it’ll be over before you know it.
Also sometimes just watching (spectating) him attack other teammates can give you a clue on your best course of action when you’re fighting him.
Last bit of advice, sometimes when an enemy is a perfect counter hero to your own and they know how to take advantage of your disadvantage, avoiding that enemy/hero is a good bet too.
Sometimes you’re just out of luck when you’re fighting a hero who is the perfect counter hero to your own.
The training arena can help since you can change the bot to the hero you’re having a hard time with.
