Funny, I have to just watch as you do exactly that to more hardcore fans, saying that you couldn't give a **** about what they prefer?
Why do you ask for respect of your preferences, when you cant leave others alone?
The fact that you can't grasp a purposefully fictitious comment is not representative of how I feel, or still believe that I told anyone they were wrong for their preferences has left me flabbergasted.

But at this point, I'll just take this as a lesson learned not to join any lore discussions moving forward - even though I find it interesting. I still am curious if I missed a big Ghost Recon book by Tom Clancy, as I would be interested in reading it [or who knows, maybe I read one where they were the main feature and forgot all about it]. Anywho, god speed.

You do have a point about Ghost Recon being an original IP, but there is no reason for the canon lore of the games to be changed randomly for this franchise willy nilly.

The Ghosts, aka D (Delta) Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), was an elite SF quick-reaction force of the US Army Special Forces (aka Green Berets), formed in 1994.

John Clark is a Navy SEAL and the original Ghosts are Army Green Berets. So, it makes no sense for him to be a Ghost before forming Rainbow.

She's a film critic, so I would give her opinion too much thought. Usually, unless a movie has potential to be a Oscar nominee, they normally consider it trash, regardless of how well it might do in the box office..They just don't look at them for how fun they are.

I have tried (key word "tried") watching Oscar nominated movies and couldn't continue watching after 20 minutes or so. Film critics are a weird breed if you ask me... kinda like the Hippies in Breakpoint.

OMG, I just had flash backs to when my son was young and couldn't find his stuffed bear. "Where's Wallace?"

Don't Make Suggestions To Start Making Movies...

1st.) This Isn't Tom Clancy Working On These Games, They Are Just Using His Name & Creating A Bad Image For It.

2nd.) No Movie Or TV Show In The US Has Been Any Good Ever Since Like Dating Back To The 2020?
There Are Exceptional Excuses To This Rule, But They Were Only 1 Off Movies From Companies That Are Dying Out...

3rd.) I Really Enjoyed Tom Clancy's History In Both Books & Games, Even Though I've Never Read A Book By Him...
I Know & Can Tell Many Would Agree They Are Good Books, But I Really Just Don't Like Having To Take Part In Something
Where I Can Clearly Tell He's Not Behind It, & His Name Is Just Tagged On To Is As A Way To Tarnish His Name, Or Something...

4th.) Video Games Haven't Really Been Successful In The Movie Department Yet, Why Would They Now?

5th.) Final Reason, Who Would Star & Who Would Produce It? There Isn't Anyone Worthy Of A Suggestion Over This..
I Wouldn't Hire A Big Budget Star Because Their Ratings Are Dropping & I Wouldn't Hire Someone Else, Because Their Ratings Aren't Going Up...

I Just Saw A News Report On The Grammy Awards Or Whatever It Is For Movies... They Said It's At It's All Time Lowest Ratings Right Now...
People Don't Want Crap, They Want Good Content, & They Don't Wanna Give People Good Content Anymore, So People Are Getting Their Content Another Way Now...

PS: Having Some Company Outside The US Make The Movie? I Don't Know That Those Countries Are In Any Better Shape To Make Movies Right Now...
Your Lucky If You Can Even Get A Lucky Movie Out Of Japan Right Now At All, Lone Enough The US...

    Maybe Korea? I Dunno...
