OK, name one that is worth it but has mechanics similar to The Division 2 (looter-shooter with RPG elements) ...Originally Posted by Elizabeth.Grey Go to original post
This is all I need to leave The Division 2, which despite all the problems and some disappointments, I am satisfied with the almost 2000 hours of fun that it provided me.
Just because you don't play the game doesn't mean others shouldn't.Originally Posted by Elizabeth.Grey Go to original post
If players find enjoyment in it, then let them enjoy it. No need to worry about what they're doing.
To be fair, it wasn't unstable since launch. It was quite stable from launch, through year 1. Instability became an issue a couple months ago.
Is it acceptable that the addition on content and re-working gear/RNG causes a regression in stability? Absolutely not.
Is it acceptable that they have not been able to restore stability after well over a month? Absolutely not.
But it really does this community a disservice to exaggerate. And actually, it would also be a disservice if people were to follow your advice. Because they already paid for the game, so the studio doesn't care very much -- and less people on the servers means the issues will be a little less likely to happen.
If you want to send a message and get the studio to care, we actually need all who bought the game (especially on PC) to play the fark out of it. And every time it crashes, open a ticket. When the support bot sends you the form email about submitting your system files, do it. If the bot closed the ticket as soon as it sent the useless request for more Info, contact support and demand it be re-opened. If they don't re-open the ticket, create a new one.
What this would be trying to do, is keeping their bean counting metrics on customer support from being falsified. More than likely, there are bonuses tied to number of tickets raised, number closed within 2 days, etc. So they don't mind at all if your tickets get closed by their bot. But they sure won't want to re-open the ticket because that will really tank the numbers -- to have a support ticket opened for more than a day, week, etc.
This is what modern support organizations do, and it is particularly a problem in the gaming industry -- and a particular problem with this studio.
Once again, I will make the offer: Ubisoft, I can un-f$%^ your game and I can un-f%^& your support. You know how to get ahold of me, and I can start tomorrow. No, its not a joke. I have over 30 years of experience in IT, including development, devops, including infrastructure, including desktop support, security, project management, and service management and specifically service management improvement.
You guys have a very screwed up studio here, and I can smell it from across the ocean, and I can fix it.
Like Outriders? Totally stable...yup....Originally Posted by Elizabeth.Grey Go to original post

I've also never had any issues in the beginning, even in the closed and public betas.
Lately, I have been having a lot of fun in this game again. If you saw my post from a week ago or so.
