    James Dragov Bug

Anyone experience the division 2 crashing midway while going after James Dragov in the warlords of new york expansion pack? I have disable dx12, rebuilt my pc thrice, bought new SSD's, 2 new GPUs, 4 new ethernet cards but the division 2 keeps crashing while i was going after james dragov. Is it possible to request a refund after 4 days of purchase?

Well, I was going to say that you should be in tune with the forums, but if you bought it 4 days ago that would be unreasonable. Let me be the one to break it to you.... this game has been unstable on PC for a month or two at this point. So I doubt very seriously if the problem is on your end.

Not sure what the refund policy is, as you would need to check with the retailer that sold it to you. Most sellers would continue 4 days of playing it to be beyond the refund period, but there is a good argument to be made here. You did days of work trying to get it to work, changed hardware (a little blindly perhaps, but that just MHO), and at the end of the day you find out the game just is in poor shape right now.

That said, I am sure there are plenty of rigs that have issues, and the problem is on the users end. But I would not tear into a rig, hardware or software, if right now this is the only game showing issues.

Rebuilt the computer three times (new Windows installs and everything), new SSD, two GPUs (btw, where did you find them so quickly, though we are going through a serious shortage), and made it far enough to go after Dragov... all that in four days!
    I'm impressed!

I don't think it's fair to dump all the blame on the user for things like this; the core of the problem is really that there are just way too many different things interacting on a PC to get a truly stable platform for everyone. It's a rather intractable problem, given that flexability in configuration is generally considered one of the advantages, as well as disadvantages, of PC gaming.

But I would not tear into a rig, hardware or software, if right now this is the only game showing issues.
One thing that distinguishes your options to try to fix this is highly versus minimally "invasive," in terms of the amount of time (and perhaps money) you spend and potential effects on other games versus the chance that it will fix your problem.

There are a handful of solutions that seem (from evidence here in the forums) to work fairly frequently and take little time and effort, such as switching from DX12 to DX11, turning off the Ubisoft Connect overlay, clearing the OBS "Use anit-cheat compatibility hook" checkbox (installing OBS if necessary to do this), and setting the EasyAntiCheat.exe processor affinity to just one core. I'd recommend everyone try this (and also recommend that the Ubi folks create a pinned post or FAQ listing the details of these!).

Updating software, including Windows, graphics card drivers, and the like can help, but is higher-risk since these can also introduce their own problems, especially when upgrading from recent to the very latest versions.

I would not bother changing out hardware; that's expensive and time-consuming and not generally the problem. (The crashes we've been seeing do not seem to have any correlation with particular graphics cards or anything like that.)

I have issues that go away and come back. Like the crashing one. It'd be fine for months and then crash. I was good for a bit and this week I got some crashing again.
