CTDs ever since the problem started- not fixed so far.

    Hello,

I am an Egyptian streamer on facebook who bought D2 last year to start streaming it, until January/February 2021, I had no problems streaming and playing D2.

I am using OBS, on 6k bitrate, 1080p60.

However, lately, ever since the Jan/Feb Patch, I've been playing for 3-5 minutes, running around, going to the whitehouse, joining queues and all of a sudden the game just crashes with NO error and shows me the ubisoft panel with "synchronizing achievements" or whatever.

Now I know this has happened to a lot of people and ever since this happened, there has been 2 other patches, 5-7gb and the latest, 2gbs.

What I do not understand is, does anyone of you find a fix for it? Is there something I should be doing for the game not to crash or is it a server sided issue?

    Thank you!

There have been several different fixes (beyond just updating drivers and Windows) that have worked for various people. Unfortunately, though they're mentioned in various places in this forum, Ubisoft has not seen fit to collect these together in one place, so you need to read through long and tedious threads of "I don't know anything about software development, but I think that Ubisoft developers are morons" and similar rubbish to get to the useful information.

Since you're using OBS, one thing that you can very quickly and easily try is to disable the "Use anti-cheat compatability hook" functionality by unchecking the check box in the game capture properties from the Sources pane, if you 've not already done so. That appeared to do the trick for me (though I installed OBS just to uncheck that one box and have never used it since).
