Seemed like a fine GE to me. I am a crappy player and don't get on that much and still had zero issues completing all of the Challenges, which bought plenty of optimization caches.
The only challenges I hate (same in Summit) is killing with grenades. To sneak up and surprise them is only way this is possible. As soon as they are alerted they'll run away every time.
Just a PITA. I still finished it.![]()
There's a chest piece with the Talent called Mad Bomber. With this you can cook the grenade and it has a larger blast area. With this chest piece you can time the grenade to go off one second after it lands at the npcs feetOriginally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post![]()
Thanks. I was aware of that talent, though I currently don't own a piece with it. I generally only use grenades to complete the challenges, although the exception is EMP grenades with my status build. What a way to slay robotics.Originally Posted by RedSaberSam Go to original postI might keep it in mind if one drops, just to help with the next GE or Summit challenge.
To be fair, you do get plenty of opportunities to do this at the start of battles within many missions.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
I have the Mad Bomber piece in my stash that I use when I need to do the challenges, otherwise I don't use it.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
What you could do ( if you have it in your library ) is grab any chest piece and recal the mad bomber talent to it, this way you don't have to wait for the gear to randomly drop.
I have to walk my comment back: I looked through my stash and it turns out I DO already have a chest piece with this talent - which I clearly forgot about. It's already god rolled too, and must've dropped that way since I see no icons for recal or optimization.
It's a Forstarkt, so it has +AR damage, +max weapon damage, +max weapon handling and +max health. Looks like it should plug into one of my assault builds nicely for the next Summit grind.
Thanks all!
With a lot of grenade challenges you do have to use the ones you throw, but I believe that in summit the grenade launcher also works. So there is no escape plan that works for NPCs, only problem might be to have to stand close when you need kill multiple NPCs with one blast. Also when using normal mode for it, patrols and convoys are very easy to take out, just throw grenade in their path and then quickly fire few shots.
